Takemichi met up with Naoto at a park. He hadn't much luck either and both were now empty handed. Izana separated from Naoto, he had his own network of people that could get information for him.

"I couldn't find anything about Mikey or Bonten Naoto. What do we do now?"

"Me neither at this point we could meet up with your friends. Chifuyu might know something about Mikey's whereabouts since you were all in Toman at the same time."

He checked the date and realized what it was. Takemichi went home to grab his bike and pedal as fast as possible to the Musashi Shrine. When he arrived the place was empty. Their time capsule had been dug up.

His letter was still inside and the four clover necklace Hina bought for him. Takemichi just sighed and sat down for a bit. The nostalgia came in full force. He reminisced the first time he attended a meeting with Hina in tow.

Kisaki being appointed captain. Him punching him. Baji beating the shit out of him and probably would have killed him if it wasn't for Mitsuya saving him. Being in the future it all blurred together.

Takemichi picked up his letter and was surprised to see a video cassette tape underneath next to the necklace.

"Did I put this in? Or did someone forget it?"

It was incredibly late now so he went home to eat and rest. The video could be viewed tomorrow first thing in the morning.

Naoto repeatedly called Izana but it kept going to voice mail. He gave up in frustration and told him to call him back before heading to his apartment for some much needed sleep. His computer was filled with endless emails from his team that apprehended Eden.

Izana had exhausted his network of leads consisting of former gang members and the like. There was still one person he hadn't thought of. Hitto Kakucho. They'd been close, retaining their close friendship but one day he suddenly stopped talking to him.

He pushed him for a reason but Hitto only said that it would "endanger" him. That was just about the most ridiculous thing he heard. But Hitto insisted and made him promise to not ever speak with him again.

(A/n: Also sorry putting this here but the internet is not working in my computer where I usually type my stories. Thus I've ended up doing it on the tablet and I am losing my mind that is happening! I can't believe I just now thought of doing it on the tablet to get this chapter out. Sorry for the rant, I'm just so mad and upset right now.)

Hitto's contact was still there waiting to be called. Izana knew what he said but had no other choice. Everyone he went to swore they would find something out about Bonten and his brother but that could take from weeks to months.

His finger shakily pressed the number and he listened to the tone hoping it'd pick up.

Kakucho was with Mikey on the roof when his phone rang. He ignored it at first. Whoever it was could wait for him,Bonten's number 3. It continued incessantly. Mikey looked at him. He answered, not bothering to look at the name out of annoyance.

"Fuck off! I'm busy right now!"

"Hitto?"

He stiffened, a voice he hadn't heard for nearly 12 years was speaking to him. Izana Kurokawa, best friend and like a brother to him. Izana also promised him that he would not, under any circumstances contact him or see him.

"Hitto? Are you still there?"

Izana's voice sounded impossible small and scared. He couldn't imagine what could have caused his fearless and bold friend to sound like this.

"Izana? I-why are you calling? We promised, remember?"

"It's, it's about Izumi! I can't find him and I didn't know where else to go! People kidnapped him! You're my last hope Hitto! Please! You have to know something! Anything!"

His voice cracked and he was crying at the end. It was too much to bear. First Eden and now this. Shinichiro. Mikey. Izumi. They were all gone except Emma who was living with Draken now. He knew he would take good care of her.

Draken wouldn't let Emma go missing. Draken made sure she was happy and protected. Would never let her hang out around sketchy people like he did. Izana was convinced that if he kept Izumi away from him then they wouldn't have ended up with that cult.

"Izumi's well..."

He trailed off. Kakucho was not sure whether or not to tell Izana he was with them. He covered the phone and asked Mikey. He nodded for the go ahead.

"Izana I want you to listen to me okay? Izumi is safe. He's uh, actually with me and Mikey right now. And you can get him tomorrow. It's late now and I want you to go home and get some sleep."

"Izumi's with you and Mikey?!"

"Yeah. I'll get you tomorrow just text me when you're ready and I'll pick you up. Sound good?"

"Okay."

He meekly replied back. If Hitto said he was with him and Mikey then Izumi should be well cared for, he hoped. Izana bid him goodbye and slowly walked home. That time was spent calming his nerves and absorbing what Hitto had said.

Morning-

Izana quickly brushed and washed up. He saw the missed calls from Naoto and fired off some texts. Hitto said he was on his way while stuffing the onigiri in his mouth, almost forgetting to chew. Finally he car was outside waiting.

Hitto sat in the back and gave a small smile back. Izana ran in and hugged the life out of him.

Takemichi found an old electronics store that let him play the cassette tape on their CRT player. Shinichiro's grinning face popped up with a bottle. A four year old Mikey stood in training robes. Takemichi watched in awe as Mikey kicked the lid off in one kick.

Naoto was relieved that Izana was alright and found Izumi so he was going to see him. Loading up the computer he saw a barrage of emails from various team members that he worked with on the rescue and apprehension mission.

He clicked the first one and gasped. It consisted of a single crime scene photograph depicting the body of a young to middle aged man with short black hair and a silver chain necklace. The tips of his fingers and toes had been cut off.

The clothing and necklace were saturated with blood. He laid on his back, torso cut open and organs displayed.
