Sanzu worked himself up into a storm trying to find some rubber bands and nice ribbons for Izuku. A poor man that tried to ask him something got shot and was in the hospital as of now. So the rest of the staff steered clear of the rampaging menace.
"What's your deal?"
"Not now Ran! Izumi needs some bands and ribbons for the flowers he picked!"
"Huh."
Ran still had some hair ties and stuff for when he had long hair. Odd as it sounds he kept them in a small box amongst other things in the walk in closet. He liked Izumi and now was an opportunity to get closer and win his favor.
"There you are."
With his sliced braids were the items he was looking for. Ran went past Sanzu still throwing whatnot around and yelling in frustration. He walked into a random room's bathroom to fix up his hair.
Ran was much more creepy than Kakucho when it came to Izumi. For obvious reasons he rarely reached out but maintained a cordial relationship with him. Ran and Rindou would keep tabs on him day and night.
They knew he went to a sandwich shop weekly in the evening each Wednesday. His love of taiyaki. What he bought, who he met, even all the articles of clothes and shoes he owned. He and Izana lived separately.
Inupi lived with Izumi interestingly. Sharing a love for heels and fashion he supposed. Ran made sure his apartment was well protected and his men had words with local criminals and the like to stay away from him.
Then of course the brothers sent small gifts. Everyday in fact, until Koko got on their asses for the excessive spending. When he found out it was Izumi he slightly eased the restrictions and allowed them one gift a month.
"Aww who knew you were such a sweetheart Koko! I knew you had a soft spot for him too!"
"Shut up!"
Ran skipped out in a good mood to see him again. He saw him sitting in the white gazebo covered with climbing vines and roses. And there he was. Izumi playing with his long hair that had grown out and a lightly transparent white kimono dress.
"Izumi! I heard you were looking for these?"
"Ran?! Is it really you?"
"In the flesh, here."
"Oh. Thank you."
Izumi started bundling various flowers together with the rubber bands and then tied a pretty ribbon outside. Ran sat next to him and politely accepted one of the bouquets Izumi made.
"This is for you. To say thank you."
He smiled taking it before noticing the reddened palms and knees and dirt on his dress. He looked back with displeasure thinking of Sanzu that was here earlier with Izumi. Did they?
"Something wrong?"
Ran looked away.
"I have no proof that you are actually Ran Haitani, are you?"
"Of course it's me Ran! Remember when you escaped from the hospital and Rin and I took you in?"
"No. That never happened."
"And! And! And he bought you that cute little two piece that made you look like an absolute doll!"
He shut his mouth and looked away, completely embarrassed that he said all that to his future husband like that.
Izumi giggled. To cheer Ran up he climbed on and hugged him.
"I believe you Ran. But you look so weird without your long hair! I really liked it."
Ran tried his best to not move while Izumi got comfortable in his lap. His mind went back to the scrapes and stains. Izumi cheerfully explained how Sanzu let him down on the ground and left to get some bands.
"I was crawling to the other flowers and I guess my dress tore."
"Crawled? Why not walk?"
"Can't."
Izumi fidgeted with the hem of his dress. Ran was distracted by the now exposed upper thighs. He leaned over and could sort of see the ends of scarred skin peeking out like Sanzu's. Izumi scooted further back into his chest to lift his foot up.
"See? He said he cut the tendons or something so now I can't use my legs anymore."
His voice eerily cheerful and bubbly but he detected a moment of sadness at the end. Ran didn't say anything and the two sat in comfortable silence watching the flowers sway with the wind. Ran plucked a water lily from the bunch and tucked it behind Izumi's hair.
Ran smiled and wrapped his arms around his stomach. Izumi tried to turn around but with Ran's arms sandwiching him, well it wasn't going to happen. He settled for leaning against him and admiring the seemingly endless fields of flowers.
Takemichi had tried asking around again but ended up with a bloody face. Again. He told Kazutora about his endeavors and he suggested a potentially useful tidbit. Their members sometimes used to hang out at an abandoned bowling alley.
It was worth a shot. He didn't have anything to lose checking it out. Takemichi slumped down. The wedding was in 3 days. Izana and Izuku had been missing for 2 years but Naoto and a team saved them.
"Don't move."
A gun cocked at his left. Takemichi froze hearing him talk and a weapon pointed at him. His eyes slid to the side and he caught a glimpse of purple striped slacks. Another set of feet entered and sat next to him.
"It's me, Takemichi."
"Mikey."
Takemichi saw how thin he had become and the visible and heavy eyebags that contrasted the stark white hair.
"It's the best future, isn't it? So, got anything you wanna say?"
Sanzu lowered the gun but continued to bore into Takemichi. He wasn't happy that he was being taken away from Izumi. Mikey felt the same but if Takemitchy was poking around, might as well address the problem and go back.
"I want you to have this, an invitation to me and Hina's wedding. Everyone's gonna be there and they'd be really happy to see. Izumi and Izana will be there too."
"Leave us, Sanzu."
Takemichi steadied himself. He asked Mikey about his dark impulsivity. He was sure it was Kisaki or the near deaths of his siblings to have caused them. When Mikey didn't say anything Takemichi stood up and looked outside.
"I can't go back to the past. My goal was to save Hina and she is safe. But now I want to save you too Mikey."
He turned around and came face to face with Mikey pointing his gun at him. Takemichi grabbed his arm and tried to force upwards. Mikey was taken aback and fought with Takemichi. The two struggled and went back and forth.
"I will save you Mikey!"
Takemichi yelled and then screamed when at the edge Mikey accidentally forced him back. That was not his intention. Takemichi screamed as he fell to the ground while vowing to save him.
He didn't expect to see the flash of lightening in the darkness.
