And Yet Another Hospital Visit

Inupi was bringing freshly prepared cup noodles when Takemichi asked Draken if he saw Izumi.

"Izumi? I saw him a couple days ago. I don't think I saw him at the festival though."

"What if he got shot?!"

"I'll give Izana a call."

There were four cups and three flavors to pick from. The traditional and simple chicken! A popular contender of seafood! And finally the delicious heavenly curry!! Senju dove for the steaming curry on the table as Takemichi fought her for it.

Draken chased Inupi around the shop once he realized that those cup noodles were his.

"What the hell Inupi?! Those were my meals for the week!"

"Cup noodles for a week isn't healthy Draken. Koko taught me a thing or two so you can have something heartier."

"The curry is miiiiiine!!"

"No way Senju!"

Izana was sleeping during this. Kisaki was doing his own thing and left Hanma in charge for the day. A simple task he couldn't manage. So Izana was called down to manage the members and give Hanma some guidance.

"I'm beat."

He quickly brushed and fell asleep on top of the sheets and blankets. His cell rang nonstop and vibrated with endless messages from friends and Kisaki interestingly enough. But he was so tired and in a deep sleep he didn't hear.

"I'm sorry he isn't answering either."

The doctor frowned. The legal guardian on the paper was grandpa sano but he wasn't in the best health to come down. They had no adoptive parents and their biological ones weren't in the picture. Izana's name was written down instead.

Izumi had been hospitalized previously for other accidents such as a head injury. Deadly force was used from what they could tell but he survived. Amongst other minor ones. The most serious however was when he was admitted with severe damage to his larynx and throat.

He read the doctor's notes about the visits. The most recent one wanted to question him on his home life but he apparently ran away? There were question marks next to 'parental figures. Serious accidents and abuse.'

The blonde boy, Kisaki said he was good friends with the patient and appeared harmless. He allowed him to stay with him for now.

"A nurse will let you know when visiting hours are over."

"Thank you, doctor."

The bullet that was lodged had been removed and he was resting in the room. His hand and the side of his neck were grazed. His legs had been cleanly shot and the bullets went out the back. The one his abdomen miraculously missed the vital organs and nerves.

He passed the time running his fingers through his hair or taking pictures. When the nurse came he felt drowsy and left. Hanma was a success he concluded. He of course, knew how to run a gang but made a mess on purpose.

Izana never liked him much and only tolerated him and Hanma because of Izumi. Speaking of which, Hanma was waiting outside to take him back to their hideout.

Ran and Rin hadn't killed the group yet. They wanted to make absolute certain that it was Izumi. Ran dragged Kakucho with him to explain their relationship with Izuku to South.

Takeomi took Senju home and Takemichi drove back by himself. Draken slept in the shop and Inupi stayed as well.

Next Day-

Izumi regained consciousness and knew he was in a hospital again. The starched white walls and bleached smell of the sheets and pillows told him. He rubbed his eyes, careful to not pull on the tubes and wires.

His left hand was bandaged and torso too. He flexed his toes and was glad there was movement. But there was a dull pain in his legs specifically his lower thighs. No headache and some bottles of water on the little table.

No escaping now with these bandages and pain everywhere. Someone left a small radio which he stretched his arm to reach. Lively music played through the little speakers and helped to pass the time.

"Oh! You're awake. I'll let the doctor know, you can stay here with him."

A nurse opened the door with someone behind him. He was happy to see Izana standing in the room with a bag. He ran over and hugged him lightly.

"I'm so sorry! There was a ton of calls and texts from everyone asking about you and I was sleeping!  Kisaki said that you got shot and was in the hospital so I came as quick as I could!"

"It's not your fault, don't feel bad for not seeing them. You must have really needed that rest."

Emma and Shinichiro would be coming by later. Takemichi and Senju too and maybe Hitto too. He tried to recall yesterday's events when the doctor came in. He smiled kindly at the brothers.

"I'm glad to see you're awake Izumi. And you must be Izana?"

"Yes. Thank you for looking after Izumi."

"You're quite alright. I know you haven't been awake for long but I have some questions for you, concerning your life at home?"

"Okay?"

He was naturally confused as to what the doctor was alluding too. Izana knew better. When Izumi had ran away officers questioned him a lot about the constant injuries and hospital visits Izumi kept sustaining.

He was shocked and furious that they suggested he was being physically abused or neglected in which he was getting hurt like that.

The doctor opened up a small laptop to take notes of their conversations. They started with basic stuff like school, friends, hobbies, and etc. When Izumi mentioned Mikey, Takemichi, and a couple others in gangs he raised an eyebrow but kept typing.

The gang bits could be useful and yield a mine of information. When he inquired about each of his visits, Izumi always had an innocent answer. He was clumsy. He pushed his half sister, Emma out of the to protect her.

Izana always backed him up. He explained that their parents left early on but their mom was abusive to Izumi when their dad was out or out of earshot to hear. Hence, grandpa sano "adopted" them.

"Alright. Thanks for answering my questions boys. Now you are healing well and the bullets didn't do any serious damage."

He finished the diagnosis. Izumi also told the doctor the descriptions he retained of the shooter and his accomplices.
