Have You Seen Him?

Izumi sliced the tamagoyaki rolls and put them on a plate. The seaweed miso was kept warm in the pot with a lid on. He heard shuffling and expected Ran to wake up from the noise but surprisingly it was Rindou.

"Good morning, I didn't wake you up did I?"

"Nah you're good. That smells good."

"Thank you! I made seaweed miso soup with rice and tamagoyaki."

His gentle voice was just what Rin needed to hear in the morning. Not to mention he made breakfast for them too. Ran was still snoring softly on the couch. He readjusted his glasses and went over to get him up and ready.

"Hey. Get up already, Izumi made food."

ZzZzZzZzZz. He was hungry and not in the mood to wait. Ran was awoken with a quick smack across his face. 

"What the heck was that for?!"

"Sorry. Rindou said that would you wake you up. Did I hurt you?"

"Of course not! You could never hurt me!"

Ran laughed scratching his head. Then Rin threw a slipper at him. Remarking how his breath stank and he needed to brush before he got any closer to Izumi. This riled Ran up and the two bickered.

When he was done they sat down to enjoy the meal he made. 

"Is it alright if I watch the morning news while we eat?"

"Of course."

It was mostly boring stuff. Weather. Events. The endless amounts of ads. Breaking news. The guy was talking about Izumi. Since he didn't come home last night and there were no sightings, they reported him as officially missing.

It was weird to see yourself on tv like that. Shinichiro was pleading for his safe return and blah blah blah. Yet he didn't feel guilty for leaving the hospital. Ran and Rin glanced at him to gauge his reaction.

"I wish I could stay here with you guys."

Breakfast was finished and Izuku cleaned the dishes with somber expression. Ran rinsed and Rindou dried them. Afterwards Izumi chose to explain his reasoning for how he ended up in the hospital and leaving.

"I took a big amount of pills. I left because I didn't want to face my brother, Izana. He really wants to have a relationship with out half brother, Manjiro. A lot has happened and I blame myself."

Izumi stopped so the tears wouldn't form. The brothers placed a comforting hand on his. Once he controlled his breathing he continued. How those around him got hurt or worried too much about him. How much it hurt to have been lied to.

"I didn't want to be a burden to them anymore. Oh wow, um I'm sorry."

He sniffed and wiped his face with some tissues. He cuddled a pillow while Rin wrapped a blanket around him. To take his mind off Ran asked Izumi if he wanted anything or go anywhere. And he did.

"Could I get taiyaki? And tea?"

"What kind?"

"Matcha with sweet cream filling."

Izumi sniffed at him hopefully through his swollen face. Ran agreed and promised to buy him as much taiyaki he wanted. Rindou searched for some sandals that came with the two piece. Ran offered to braid Izumi's hair.

Ran made two braids like his own and then twisted them so they wrapped around his head like a crown. Izumi smiled seeing the picture Ran took for him to see. Rin finally found a pair that matched and brought the bag over.

Pretty wedge sandals with white straps and little embroidered flowers on them. Rin had to guess on the size. Izumi was surprised as well that it was a perfect fit. He stuck his foot up in Ran's face poking his cheek.

"Put them on please!"

The sudden switch of moods startled them both. He smiled jokingly as though he hadn't spilled out his trauma and feelings to two strangers he met for about a day and night now. Ran pushed his leg, pretending to be grossed out.

"Ew! Shoving your dirty foot in my face."

"It's not dirty! They're clean because I showered yesterday."

His eyes accusing Ran of not cleaning himself. Rin snorted refusing to back up Ran. He relented and tied the straps into cute little bows for Izumi.

"Shall we go?"

"We shall."

Izana couldn't sleep last night. It wasn't the same without Izumi chowing down taiyakis and commenting on random things that came to mind. Chatting with Hitto about some new cute outfit he wore for a shoot.

The two had semi permanent eye bags from staying up late trying to get information about him and unease causing sleep deprivation. Shinichiro looked the worst out of them all. He was yawning all the time and drank coffee, Manjiro said he never drank coffee.

There was still hope for today that Izumi could be found. He was missing for one day officially and they hoped it would stay that way.

For breakfasts Izana ate taiyaki since it was, no IS Izumi's favorite snack. He had no reason to believe his twin was dead, rotting away in a ditch. They honestly watched too many crime shows. Hitto was also affected by his disappearance. They are good childhood friends and took him in from the orphanage.

"Izana I'm thinking today we should drive around Tokyo and the outskirts to talk with the locals. It's possible they may have seen him or know something."

"Yeah sure. I'll get Manjiro."

Their relationship mended a little over concerns for Izumi's wellbeing. He still hadn't forgiven him for damaging his voice but Manjiro accepted that. He would wait patiently until the twins forgave him. Someday, perhaps.

The police formed a search party with officers and volunteers. A couple other teens had gone missing recently and they feared that it may be connected. Obviously the public also came to this conclusion and voiced their concerns and fears that a serial kidnapper or killer was out.

Shinichiro would be joining them along with Emma and some coworkers from their agency as volunteers. There were plenty of junkyards and open fields that made excellent dumping grounds and hiding spots for a hostage.

The volunteers wore neon vests signifying they were part of the search party and gathered around the officers.

"Is everyone here? Alright! Listen up! We're going to go grid by grid! You'll be split into groups and will check off the square when you've finished sweeping! Let's go!"

And so began the grueling task of searching for evidence, or a body.
