[The Owl House] Hunter x Reader

**SPOILERS FOR ANY SPORT IN A STORM**

Aka: 7 hours in heaven. Also aka: two tsunderes in a closet.

"So, uh, what are we doing at the party?" (Y/N) asks Luz as they walk home. The party itself was at Willow's house, but they needed to stop by the Owl House to change before they headed over.

"Oh." Luz smiles deviously, "I convinced them to let us play truth or dare, and I already have a dare for you."

"What?" They sigh in annoyance.

"I dare you to confess to your crush before the end of the party." She says.

"Uh, what? Luz, he's not even going to be there..." They laugh, going bright red.

"Oh, but he is!" She says triumphantly. "According to Willow, Hunter got tonight off to come! Somehow..."

"That's good-" They groan at the look she's giving them, "Luz, I don't want to ruin his time off."

"Oh ho..." She laughs, "You won't. He totally likes you too."

"You don't know that!"

"Oh, but I do!" She snickers.

"You didn't notice with Amity-"

"When YOU'RE the crush it's different!" She says quickly, going red.

The argument continues until they reach the Owl House, at which point Hooty cuts them off and they go to get ready as fast as possible.

"Hey guys!" Willow greets them at the door, "Welcome to the party!"

"Wait!" Yells someone speeding down next to them.
"Hey guys. I wasn't entirely sure which house it was..." Hunter laughs nervously as he lands right next to them.

"Hey Hunter." (Y/N) says.

"Hiya golden boy." Luz says.

"You didn't tell me the human would be here..." Hunter doesn't acknowledge (Y/N)'s hello, instead staring angrily at Luz.

"Oh, don't worry." Luz laughs as they all head inside, "I won't bother you."

(Y/N) and Hunter look at her with a very similar doubtful experience.

"Eh heh heh..." She laughs nervously, "I'm gonna go find Amity."

"Seriously." He groans, "The Blight is here too?"

"It's just Lumity, the Emerald Entrails, and me, Hunter." (Y/N) shrugs, "It's not like you haven't met anyone here before."

"Yeah, but I'm not exactly friends with them all either."

"That sounds like a you-problem." They snicker.

"Caleb!" Viney waves, "You're actually here!"

Hunter is dragged off by his Flier Derby teammates.

"So." Gus whispers to Luz, "The plan?"

"In motion." She gives him a thumbs up.

"Excellent." He grins evilly.

"I still am not sure this is a good idea." Amity says.

"Oh, come on. Of course it is." Luz laughs.

"nO." (Y/N) tries to claw their way back to the snack table as everyone sits in a big circle for Truth or Dare.

"Oh, come on (Y/N)." Skara laughs, "This game isn't that bad."
