I feel bad that this is so short, but idk if I want to go back and rewatch the entire story if I'm not going to change basically anything in it.
I also have zero confidence in how well I did Taurus Cookie's slow speech, but I tried.

Elderberry Cookie sighs as he heads back to his observatory. The stars have long since come out, and he has been kept at the pantheon far longer than necessary. Taurus Cookie had cleaned out half the kitchen and then disappeared so everyone had gone into a panic looking for her. They still have yet to find her, but he managed to escape by saying that he would check his observatory for her.

Moving his monocle, he rubs his eyes in exasperation. If she is at the observatory, messing with his equipment, he might actually try to crumble her—constellation or not. She has caused everyone so much trouble, so if a single one of his instruments has been nudged even a centimeter out of place, he will lose it.

"Elderberryyy Cookie...!" That familiar carefree voice calls out to him from just off the path.

"Taurus Cookie?!" He looks up a nearby hill, where she's smiling and waving to him from the top.

"You're here...!" She calls down, "I was getting... so hungryyy..."

He marches up the hill to meet her, "Taurus Cookie everyone has been worried sick due to your absence. Where have you been?" He reaches the top and looks around in surprise, "...?"

Set up at the top of the hill is a picnic, blanket and all, made with all the missing food. Despite how long ago Taurus Cookie took off with it, it has not been eaten.

Taurus Cookie seems not only apologetic, but confused. "Sooorry... I thought... we could all have a niiice picnic together..."

"We...?" He turns to her, utterly confused. "Taurus Cookie have you been here since evening?"

"I thiiink so... I didn't... want to eat everything beforeee you got here... so I took a naaap..." She smiles once again, "You and Starfruit Cookie like watching everyone... at the teeemple from here... so I wanted to... have a picnic... where we could... do that together..."

Now realizing what happened, Elderberry Cookie sighs, smiling in spite of himself, "Taurus Cookie, you needed to tell us you wanted to do this."

"I... didn't? Ohhh, that's whyyy... it took you so looong to come...!" She is completely unconcerned by this major oversight.

Rolling his eyes, Elderberry Cookie looks up at the star-filled sky. How could he have expected her to be anything else?

Staring at the gap in the sky she should occupy, he thinks aloud, "...It is strange to not see you there."

"It isss...?" She grabs one of the cakes she stole from the kitchen.

He glances at her before returning his eyes to the empty place in the sky, "Yes, I..." He hesitates, not sure he wanted to say more.

Taurus Cookie struggles with a knife for a moment to cut the cake then to put the wonky piece on another plate. Once successful, she offers it to Elderberry Cookie, "I'll try to... stay right where you cannn... see me... when I gooo back..."

"You will?" He looks at her in surprise, and is even more shocked to see her offering him a slice of her favorite cake.

"Yeahhh...!" She passes the plate to his hands before grabbing a fork to eat the rest, "I want to knooow if... I can see... you... from there..."

Elderberry Cookie feels something in him shift. He lowers his eyes to the cake in his hands as he tries to make sense of it, but he can't.

This constellation he has watched and followed for so long, wants to look back at him from the sky. How can she say such things so casually...?

Trying to hide his feelings, he sits down beside her and changes the subject."Are you actually going to let me eat this or am I just meant to hold onto it so you don't eat the whole thing at once?"

"If you don't waaant it..." she speaks uncharacteristically quickly.

He sighs, shaking his head, "Once you finish that cake we are taking everything else back to the pantheon and you are going to apologize to Starfruit Cookie."

"Okaaay..." She seems perfectly content with that plan at least. "Elderberry Cookieee..."

"Yes? What is it?" He is surprised yet again when Taurus Cookie offers him a fork.

"Do youuu think... we can stiiill have... a picnic...?"

After meeting her eyes, Elderberry Cookie averts his gaze, "I'm certain Starfruit Cookie would appreciate the sentiment if you actually told her you wanted to."

"What... about youuu...?" Why must she sound so disappointed?

He hesitates to admit his own feelings. "...I appreciate it as well. It... isn't often that anyone wants to hear what I have to say about the stars..."

"Yaaay...!" She cheers. Somehow already she's finished the rest of the cake.

"But in the future I would like some warning as to when you will. Not knowing when I should perform my observations will throw off my data." Elderberry Cookie hastily adds this as he starts eating his slice.

Taurus Cookie is staring intently at it.

Sighing once again, he hands her the plate, "I will gather everything so we can return it to the pantheon once you are finished."

"Thaaank youuu...!"

How can one Cookie be so troublesomely endearing...?
