Naglalakad ako sa kalagitnaan ng kagubatan nang may matanaw akong lalaki na nag-eensayo sa pagpana. Nilapitan ko siya.

"Have you eaten yet?" He asked.

"Any update?" I asked, hindi pinansin ang tanong niya. Why would he bother himself asking me that kind of question? 

He let out a heavy sigh. "Still focusing on the knights. As for Atlas, he still can't find it."

"Do you really think he can find it? You two wasting your time. You are hoping for someone who is so hopeless," I said, pissed.

He released the arrow and looked at me seriously. "Hindi lang mga posibilidad ang kinakapitan ko, pati na rin mga imposibleng bagay dahil hindi ko kayang mag-isang lumaban. Kaya nga pati mga tulong ng anak ko ay hiningi ko, hindi ba?" He bit his lips. "That crest holds more power than mine. What I am doing is just an alternative way to dethrone Eagle from dominating the council."

That made me shut up. I suddenly remembered our conversation years ago, when I was still unaware of what was happening.

"You're powerful!" I snapped at him. I always say this to him. He acts and thinks as if he is a loser and weak! I hate to accept that because it reminds me of him leaving us behind. My mom died nang naghihirap. He abandoned us. That makes him a loser.

"I'm no God. I'm still a human." He shook his head. "I'm not powerful just like what you always think."

Ayokong magtrabaho hindi dahil sa tamad ako pero gusto kong makuha ang dapat na nakuha namin ni mama noon pa lang. Kaya lang, bago ko makuha ang nararapat na para sa akin, kailangan ko muna raw maghirap. This is why I'm so mad at him dahil parang hindi pa sa kaniya sapat ang mga paghihirap namin ni mama noon at kailangan pa akong ipasok sa gulo ng buhay niya.

"Plus, my responsibility is just to oversee the knights and guide the knights especially in decision-making. I also should appear as neutral. Now, I can't guide the knights because someone replaced me from doing that, si Eagle. And I have no say in that because of my limitations. I'm only tasked to oversee and guide them but the decision is still on them."

I shut my eyes, processing what he said. When I opened my eyes, I looked at him intently. "Wait, so, what makes you different from them that can emphasize your title?"

He sipped his tea before he answered my question. "The highest of all knights, the 12th knight has the right to keep his identity hidden from the other knights and he cannot be replaced or removed from his position unless he dies or violates the rules that the 12th knight must follow. His support for every implementation of the passed law is also crucial because he has a great influence and his connection is wide." Pagpapatuloy niya.
