LUNA'S P. O. V

ILANG oras na ang nakakalipas at wala pa ring Deth na bumabalik. Nagsisimula na kaming kabahan. Some want to go after him, but Storm, Wolf, and Chaos are holding them back.

"Tangina naman," mahinang mura ni Zai. He's now really frustrated. Sinamaan niya pa ng tingin si Wolf. Stella noticed and quickly approached Zai, placing a calming hand on his arm, trying to soothe his rising anger.

"I'm sorry, but as much as possible, we need to stay here," mahinahong paliwanag ni Storm.

"Tapos-"

"If an hour passes and he's still not back, we'll go after him," Chaos interjected firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument.

"Si-"

Bigla nalang bumukas ang pinto dahilan para matigilan ang iba. Everyone froze, the atmosphere growing heavier as our eyes locked onto the figure standing in the doorway.

Si panotchi...

Siya kaya ang nagpapatay kay Knoxx bilang paghihiganti niya kay Eagle? Is that why he allowed Knoxx to join us so easily?

Nasa likod niya si Pareng Hades na isa-isa kaming tiningnan at pumasok. We all exchanged confused looks as Hades sat down, his demeanor calm, almost too calm.

Ibinalik naming ang tingin kay Panotchi. "Nasaan si Deth?" malamig na tanong ko.

Hindi siya sumagot at basta nalang pumasok nang dire-diretso. Sinundan namin siya ng tingin.

"Is Knoxx really dead? And where is Deth?" Rance asked, his voice edged with worry.

"Deth is not in good condition to face you all while Knoxx was..." Huminga siya nang malalim. "already dead."

A cold wave of dread washed over the room, the words hanging in the air like a death sentence. 

"So, what are you doing here if you have nothing good to tell us?" Eunice snapped, her voice sharp with barely contained anger.

"Ano ba'ng-"

Our eyes widened in shock as Panotchi suddenly bowed his head. Even Pareng Hades seemed taken aback by the gesture.

"A-ano'ng ginagawa mo?" Zai asked with a bitter laugh, confusion and anger warring in his tone.

Hindi siya sumagot. Bumaba ang tingin ko sa mga kamay niya na unti-unting kumukuyom. "S-sorry," he finally whispered, his voice barely audible.

"Huh? Ano raw?" Vincent asked, baffled, echoing the confusion that gripped all of us. We all knew he had wronged us in so many ways, but what exactly was he apologizing for? Which of his many sins was he trying to atone for?

"Sorry... Dark students," he added, his voice trembling with something that sounded like genuine regret.

"D-did he just say sorry to us?" Eunice asked, needing confirmation of what we all had just heard.

Panotchi lifted his head, tears welling up in his eyes. "I'm sorry for everything I've caused you all. I'm sorry for making you suffer. I'm sorry for using—" He took a deep, shaky breath. "Sorry for dragging you into our mess... my mess."

"Ano'ng pinagsasabi mo riyan?! Nasisiraan ka na ba?!" Sander shouted, his voice tinged with disbelief and fury.

"Nabagok yata ang ulo?" Zairus snorted, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I'm sincerely apolo-"

"Tumahimik ka na!" Zairus snapped. Galit na galit ang mga mata niya na tila ay papatay na sa sobrang pula at talim.
