LUNA'S P. O. V

HINDI kami tuluyang makalabas ng mansion dahil may mga bumabaril sa amin na nakapwesto sa labas. Every time we tried to get a glimpse of Zai and Wolf, gunfire would force us back into cover. We were down to using the enemy's weapons since we had already run out of ammo.

The briefcase was now secured in Deth's bag.

"Where are you going?" Deth asked, his voice sharp as he noticed Sander standing up suddenly, gripping two guns tightly. Sander had a rifle slung over his shoulder, one he had taken off a fallen enemy earlier.

"Sa taas." Kian answered for him, his voice brimming with anger. "Doon namin pagbababarilin ang mga gagong 'yan," he added, his eyes filled with cold determination as he also stood up. Gavin handed him an earpiece. "Use this to stay in contact with Deth."

Sander nodded. "Ubos sa amin 'yang mga tang'nang 'yan."

"I'm coming too," Knoxx said, rising to his feet. Kian glanced at him, nodding in approval.

"Fine," Deth agreed. "But once it's done, get back down here. We need to leave immediately."

Tumango ang tatlo. Sander and Knoxx were already moving when Kian suddenly grabbed Elisse's hand, pulling her to her feet. "You're coming with us."

"What-"

Elisse's protest was cut short as Kian dragged her along, her eyes darting between me and Deth in confusion and frustration. Stella and Eunice waved teasing goodbyes to Elisse, their smirks only deepening the irritation in Eunice's eyes.

"Pansin niyo ba?" Wala sa sariling tanong ko nang tuluyang mawala sa paningin ko sina Kian at Elisse.

"Ang ano?"

Hindi ko alam pero bakit parang ayaw ni Kian na makasama namin si Elisse? O baka mali lang ako ng iniisip.

"Focus, girls." Deth's voice snapped me back to reality, just as another round of gunfire echoed. Galing sa side namin at sa labas. Nakikipagpalitan kasi ng putok ang mga gunggong.

"Deth, ano'ng gagawin natin?!" Stella shouted. Nag-aalala na siya para sa kaligtasan nina Wolf at Zai.

"Wait!" Deth shouted while frustration etched on his face. He seemed as trapped as the rest of us, knowing that stepping outside would make us easy targets, especially with bullets flying straight into the mansion.

The gunfire grew louder, more intense. My eyes widened as Deth suddenly stood up, moving without warning.

"Deth!"

"Follow me!" he ordered, not bothering to look back as he rushed out into the open. I cursed under my breath, irritated but determined, and quickly followed him. The others fell in line behind us, returning fire as they moved. Shots rang out from above—likely the work of Kian, Knoxx, and Sander.

Kaya pala malakas na ang loob niya na lumabas dahil kagagawan ng tatlo ang mga putok kanina.

"Nasaan na sina Zai at Wolf?!" Stella yelled, her knee pressed into the dirt as she fired both her guns.

"Deth!" Eunice called out, desperate for an answer. I moved closer to Deth, studying his tense expression.

"Shit." Hinila niya ang kamay ko at itinago sa likod niya. "Kung hindi mo na mahal ang buhay mo, mahal ko 'yan kaya diyan ka lang sa likod ko!"

I sighed at my own foolishness, realizing how close I'd come to losing focus. Nang matigil na ang putukan dahil malamang ubos na ang mga kalaban ay hinila ko ang kanang palapulsuhan ni Deth at pinaharap siya sa akin.
