Kohdor's POV:
Everyone seems to be eating a lot right now. It's lunch time and we just finished playing dodgeball and everyone is definitely ravenous after the whole ordeal. I still feel the ache in my chest after Nixie shot a cannonball at me. I looked at her. She seems to be enjoying her food more than usual.
Has she become faster? I swear she seems faster today. What have you been doing in the mountains really?
...
While I'm wondering about what Nixie had been up to for the past two years, I didn't realize that Jesse was looking at me as I rubbed my chest where it's sore. "Dude? Does it still hurt?" He looked worried. I shook my head. "Nah, just stinging a little bit." 'You sure? Damn, I really didn't think Nixie would be that athletic, man. I mean even the way she jumped. Almost inhuman." He went back to eating. I can't help but to get a little nervous. I know he's joking but... If you only knew, Jesse...
When suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I twisted my body to see three demon girls standing behind me. "Kohdor, you did so well at the dodgeball game!" One of them said enthusiastically. "Yes! We were cheering for you. We felt so bad when your team lost two rounds though..." the other one said as she looked down. "Either way, we think you're amazing at it! Just need better teammates." The other one said and I could feel my teammates getting triggered at her remark. "Can we take a picture with you?!" She continued. The three of them started sparkling. "Wow! Fans already, KD..." I looked across the table to see Nixie giving me a cheeky smile.
I turned back to the three. "Sure." "Oh, but we forgot our DDDs. Could you please use yours?" "Uhm... Uh, yeah." So I took a photo of us four, selfie style. They immediately wrapped their arms around my waist. The three of them hugged me tight. I showed them the photo I took and they quickly snatched my DDD from my hand. Saved their contacts and sent the photo to their numbers before handing it back to me. The three of them giggled as they walked away. And I definitely saw them pulling their DDDs out from their pockets as they went.
I sat back down and of course, Jesse started nudging his elbow on my arm, wiggling his eyebrows at me. Same with Nixie. "Aw looks like K will be the first to get a girlfriend... I want a girlfriend too! Or a boyfriend... Doesn't matter which one!" Jess said as she angrily stuffs her face.
"As long as I get to be the boyfriend." Kamal told her out of the blue. I was not aware that Kamal is a charmer. But I had a feeling. He proceeded to wink at her and that made Jess even more embarrassed.
"So who are you going for, hm? The one with the blonde hair? Or the one with the bob? Oh! Or the curly one? She's very pretty! Not to mention," Jesse leaned closer to me and whispered, "She got a great ass..." And winked at me. It appears Nixie knew what Jesse might've whispered since she gestured smacking something in the air. I shook my head.
"Nah, I already got someone I like..." Everyone looked at me like I just dropped the biggest F bomb in history... "Who?! Is she sitting right here with us??" Jess slammed the table, eager to know. I just looked at all of them, they all had different expressions. Nixie is smirking. Jesse, Jess, Kamal and Akio look curious. Bibby was the only one who didn't care and just continued eating. I made sure to not let my eyes linger on Akio too much though, so no one could guess...
"It's a secret." I heard a very audible disappointment from them. I just continued eating while ignoring their questions about it until they got annoyed with me.
---
While I appear to have gathered admirers after the game, Nixie on the other hand, had demons coming at her with malicious intent. They are accusing Nixie of using a performance enhancing magic potion of some sort, and that Beel and Mammon just failed to notice it. I was getting ready to get them to back off.
