Benji opens up

I had Solomon drop me and Akio outside the gates to the old hospital that are now flats. I look at Akio to find her shivering. "Don't worry we're by Amanda's flat." I informed her. She nods as she follows me through the gates. It's ten at night in England so Amanda will definitely be asleep.

Once we reach her flat, I pull my keys out my duffle bag and unlock the door. "Ladies first." I hold my arm out for Akio, she smiles then heads inside. I follow after her and she follows me down the hallway to Manda's living room, switching on the light I spot Sammy curled up in his basket. He lifts his head grumpily then notices it's me.

Bolting out his basket he jumps on his back legs resting my front paws on me, "Hey buddy, I missed you too." I give him some fuss. Akio walks a little closer and starts rubbing behind his ears.

"Oh! His ears are so fluffy!" She beams. He leans his head closer to Akio's hand before dropping back onto all fours.

"I'm just gonna let Manda know we're here, you don't mind waiting here do you?"

She shakes her head, "Nope, I don't mind, plus I get to pet Sammy finally!" She grins kneeling down, giving him some fuss. I smile then head towards Amanda's room.

I find her sleeping wrapped like a burrito in her covers, sitting at the edge of her bed. I poke her cheek, she sleepily groans and rolls over. I tickle the tip of her ear, she swats hand, "Go away Benji," she mumbles sleepily.

"That's a little rude to say to your best friend." I grin.

"Well my best friend just lets himself in and pokes my cheek while I'm sleeping." She says rolling over giving me daggers. If looks could kill.

I chuckle, "Slowly starting to regret giving me a key yet?" She sits up.

"Never."

She stretches out her arms and yawns. "Well, I hope you don't mind but I brought a friend back."

She shakes her head. "It's not a problem, is it someone that goes to the art thingy you're now in?" I nod. Throwing the covers back she scrambles out of bed.

"Well I'm gonna take her to the shop so we can get something to nibble on, do you want anything?" I ask, even though I know what she's gonna ask for. Wine, raspberries and gingerbread men and yes, she did ask for it as I turned to leave.

She calls for me, I turn to her, "Please can it be Barefoot if it's on sale? If not then get Echo Falls." I mentally jog in it in my brain then turn, "Benji!" I turn again.

"Yes Manda?"

"White Zinfandel please, it's a rosé." I nod then turn once more. "Benji!"

Oh my god, "Yes Amanda!" I turn.

"If you're then going to wake Ruben up, don't bother, he's gone away for the weekend." I nod then finally leave her room, I poke my head through the living room to see Akio laid cuddling Sam.
