Benji's birthday plan

Akio's POV:

I bolt up again from another nightmare and repeat the same thing. Rub my neck, try to control my breathing, hunt for my bed socks, find them, slip them on, grab my D.D.D, leave my room, tiptoe past the girl's rooms not to hint them I'm awake.

When I reach the end of the corridor, I switch my D.D.D on. I regret leaving it back in my room and felt cheeky asking Jess if I could use hers to reply back to Benji's photo message, I smile remembering how cute his dog is.

As I'm walking down stairs all my messages come through at once, messages from Levi, Satan and Asmo asking if I was okay on Friday. I sigh, I didn't mean to shout at people, a mass amount from Kohdor, I scan through them quickly starting from the I hope you're okays, to telling me about his weekend, asking if I'm having fun with Jesse and Jess. I smile and hit the reply.

" I'm sorry I didn't reply, I'd left my D.D.D on the bedside here. New Zealand was amazing. Jesse took me and Jess to a flower garden and we saw some that looked "vomit" C'x I hope you and Nixie had fun this weekend. ^w^"

Switching on lights in the kitchen, as much as I didn't mind Jesse's kitchen, I did miss this one. Placing my D.D.D on the kitchen island, I head over to where Simeon keeps putting them away, which leads to me having to jump on the counter to reach the cupboard. Sometimes I hate being five foot three. Benji, Kohdor and Jesse can reach into the cupboards with ease while the rest have to stand on tiptoes leaving me and Nixie having to jump on the sides. I huff.

Once I get the boxes out laying them down on the island, I grab everything out the fridge I need and get to work. I'd managed to finish a bit sooner than I thought, I check the time on my D.D.D and its only 5am. I've woken up earlier than normal or I'm just getting better at remembering who likes what without having to check things.

I neatly line up everyone's boxes. I even left a note on Kohdor's telling him he's an idiot and he should have told me he needs more food, so I filled both of his boxes to the top with extra sushi, rice balls and other things. With a few hours to kill I start to make breakfast for everyone, pancakes and bacon with a fruit salad on the side for everyone, while Kohdor has a mountain of pancakes, bacon and a side bowl of fruit. Filling a couple jugs of fresh orange juice.

"Good morning Akio!" Luke says, making me jump, I drop the empty carton.

"Jeez Luke, you scared me! Wait, what time is it?" I ask.

He looks at his watch. "It's ten to seven, everyone should be getting up soon." He says, I'm still in my pyjamas.... I swear I need to stop zoning out and keep on track with time when it comes to cooking!

"Ah! Can you please set the table while I get ready? I lost track of time!" I panic.

"Yes of course, who is for who?" he asks, I point out who's plate is who, he'd guessed the biggest one was for Kohdor, I bow my head and dash to my room.

Once dressed I feel like keeping my hair down today, I grab the hairpin Jesse had bought for me and slid it in on the left side, I smile. It's so pretty! Satisfied with how I look, I grab my bag then exit my room, I bump into Jess "Oppes, sorry Akio. Good morning." She says.
