Jesse POV:

After a chilled weekend back home with Jess I am excited to head to art on Monday. I mean, I suck at it but it is fun and Benji and Nixie are in my morning class. After Benji finally admitting his fruitiness, I hope he loosens up a bit and feels more accepted. Lords know that boy needs acceptance. I'm walking with Jess, Bibby and Kamal to RAD. Kamal and Jess seem to have bonded or something and have been chatting a lot since Friday. Bibby seems a little uncomfortable being around chatty Jess but she makes an effort every time Jess throws a comment or question at her. They all seem lost in their own conversation, something about dream walking I think.

I glance around at everyone as we walk to RAD. Kohdor, Benji and Nixie are walking together with Nixie teasing Benji. I am in half a mind to join her but decide against it. Benji looks relaxed and happier and I don't want to ruin that. Akio is walking with Simeon, Luke and Solomon. Well sort of, Solomon just seems to be trailing behind everyone and watching in his unique manner. His eyes meet mine and he smiles softly at me. I smile back when I catch in the corner of my eye, Luke leaning in and whispering to Akio. With her worried glance at Kohdor I think it is safe to assume it's about the other night.

I have my own thoughts on what may have caused her to freak out like that, none of them good. I feel a surge of sadness and understanding well up inside. "Yo, Jesse." I hear Jess call out, snapping me back to reality. "Bibby and I are heading off now, maths is that way." She points in the opposite direction of where the rest of us are going.

"Alright then, see ya. Don't enjoy maths too much." I wink at her as she walks off with Bibby. Bibby looks at me with her neutral expression, but is that a slight twinkle in her eye? She really does love learning. Jess on the other hand looks like I just slapped her.

"What do you take me for? I suck at math!" She calls down the hall and waves. Jess moves to link arms with Bibby but stops herself at the last minute, instead just giving her arm a slight bump with hers as they round the corner and leave our sight.

Kohdor, Akio and Kamal all bid the last of us goodbye as they turn off to go to history. Akio keeps making worried glances at Kohdor as they walk off together in silence. Benji watches the three of them walk off with a pained expression. I would bet a Diamonds Are Forever Martini, that he is looking at Kohdor and Akio walking together that is causing his pretty face to scrunch up. Does he know how transparent he is?

To break him out of his funk I wrap my arm around his shoulders. "Soooo, we should give you a coming out party! With rainbow balloons and streamers and rainbow drinks! It would be fricken amazing!" As I predicted he grunts and shoves me away.

"Why would I want a coming out party? Is that just an excuse for you to drink or something?" he fires at me as we head off to art. Nixie starts laughing at us both.

"Why would I need an excuse? Just wanted to show our newly hatched gay that we love him." I croon sweetly at him.

He rolls his eyes and turns away from me, not before I see the smile tugging at the corner of his lips. Hahaha it worked! "I was always gay, I just hadn't told you guys."

"Well I'm glad you did, it was getting kinda hard to pretend we didn't know." Nixie chirps up. I nod my head as Benji looks at us like we have grown extra heads.

"What do ya mean? How did you know?" He starts to look a little panicked as his eyes bounce between Nixie and me.

I tap the side of my nose as Nixie whistles and walks ahead. Benji stops walking in the hall and just sort of stares at us as we walk into art. He hurries along and comes in after us, still at a loss for words.

I finish up in art, I only have an hour while Benji and Nixie have the 2 hour class. I head to the library and pull out my assignments, laying them out neatly. I have two hours before I have to head to demonology and I want to get some of this stuff done so I have more time to hang out with the others.
