Everyone is here but him.
Everyone but the King.
His personal council. Here.
Butlers. Here.
Maids? Here.
Guards. Here.
Private secretary. Here.
More random people who's jobs I don't know. Here.
Even the royal physicians are here.
What do they think is going to happen during this meeting?

"Where is your impertinent King" Selkie seethes from behind my chair.

"uh uh" I swivel in my chair and wave a finger at him.
"Stop pestering these people. It's not their fault their King is late." I say surprising myself on how nice I sound. And by the look on Selkies face, he's surprised too.

There's too much serotonin in this empire. It's making me more pleasant then usual.

I look around the room.
Some people jumped at the sound of my voice.
I look at the people occupying the other chairs around the table.

There's four empty chairs.

Everyone's staring at the wall, the floor or the table. No one is looking at me. There slightly shaking too.
Am I that horrible?

They must've heard the rumors.
I mean there not 'not' true.
But one thing they got wrong. I don't kill for fun.
I kill because they deserved it. All of them.
Corrupt governors and councils. Hiding the terrible things they've done.
No one got justice.
So I got revenge.

The King wanted a strong alliance for the upcoming war with the Derroth District. So he got one.
Why I agreed? I needed a change of scenery. Expand my horizons.. and allies. Everyone is too scared to come into my territory. The economy is slowly falling apart with the same old people. No new income.
People are too afraid.
One of the main reasons they don't come or relocate is because Drow elf's live there.
They may be eviler than most. But they are still a civil group. Now if they didn't have any rules? They would probably be just as scary as the rumors. But I keep a tight union. I guide them to a somewhat decent path and I'm strict on rules in my empire. And if they like you? They'll kill for you, protect you, like family. There nice people if you get to know them. But people in this realm, they judge off of looks. And this is why they resign in my territory.
Everyone that lives there were kicked out of other Kingdoms because they looked 'unappealing' or 'unpleasant'.

So here I am trying to improve my social appearance to the public, for my people, by marrying their King.

Kamau.
His name means quiet warrior.
I've heard he's quite scary looking.
They say he's huge. Like a giant.
An emotionless face.

But who am I to judge?
People say I look quite scary too.

What a pair.

The double door to the room opens.

four people barge into the room.

Two of them are elfs. Shaggy dark brown and grey hair.
Then there's a women. Human. Long brown hair. Tanned skin. And short.

That leaves what I presume to be, King Kamau.
That and the fact he is the only one wearing a crown.
It sits at the top of his head.
Surrounding it, his textured hair.
The crown is dark green.
Gold specks.
Leafs.
There are green leafs on it.
Are those, are those vines?

He has black hair.
Tall. Really fucking tall.
Dark skin.
Strong jaw.
Full lips.
Smooth looking skin.
And, and green eyes?

Not one rumor did they say he has green eyes.

Could it have something to do with his power?

Like mine.

Can he change them too?
