Seri is still crying in my arms 20 minutes later. I freaked out at first but Rakia just told me to pat her back and she would calm down. Shes still yelling in my ear as loud as she was when Circe and Cela left. She's not calming down at all and now I'm exhausted.
"It's okay it's okay." I continue to try and soothe her as my eyes glance at her brother.
Syrian is in Sansa's arms in the living room, playing with her braided red hair. I guess it is a pretty fascinating hair color when you think about it, especially in contrast to her pale skin and black attire. The only color on her is that red hair paired with green eyes.
Rakia is right next to her laughing at something Selkie said, which is weird because I've rarely seen him talk.
"Cmon, Selkie! Just hold him." Rakia laughs.
Selkie shakes his head. "I don't like children."
Kolvar decides to get up from his spot on the couch, grab Syrian right out of Sansa's lap and gently throws him on Selkie while laughing.
I let out a breathe and turn for the kitchen. Maybe she just hungry.?
I shuffle her body to my left arm and open the freezer with my left. My eyes spot something that all kids should like, and I grab one.
I close the fridge and turn to the island, placing her hyperventilating body down and I open up the treat before putting in front of her eyes. "Do you want it? Here." I grab her tiny hands and place the ice pop in them. In the hopes she stops crying, and she does, for a second to look at it confused before dropping it, yelling "it's cold!" And crying again flinging her body limp on my chest as she rubs her snot and tears on my shirt.
Running out of ideas I decide to put her on the kitchens floor and just sit across from her.
She sits there, cheeks all red and tear stained, eyes bloodshot and her baby hairs sticking to her face as she constantly try's to wipe them away.
I scoot closer to her and wipe her face with my shirt. "Circe will come back, and when she does, you can ask her to get you anything you want, okay? Just pleas stop crying I'm running out of ideas." I say breathlessly as I pick her up, not even realizing she stopped crying.
I sigh in relief when I realize. Thank god.
I walk back to the living room just ask Levos says. "She finally stopped crying, huh."
I slightly smile, "yea. Can you hold her while I change my shirt?"
He's about to grab her when he looks at the condition of my shirt and looks at my face in horror. "Kids are nasty, man. Just put her down, yea I'll watch her." He pinches his nose too.
I shake my head. "She doesn't stink." I gently set her down on the carpet.
I jog up the stairs and head into my room. I quickly take off the shirt and toss it in the hamper. As I put a new one on I hear a commotion outside the window and I walk towards it. From my window I can see the major towns. And the front of my land.
The first thing I see is smoke. Lots of it. It's covering the sky and I hear people screaming and running.
The hair on my arms and neck start to stick up and my gut turns.
I do not like this at all.
I run downstairs, my heart racing as o quickly try to reach my friends and the kids. As I hit the last step the house begins to shake and my feet take me even faster to the living room as the place shakes even faster. As I turn the corner I see Selkie holding Seri closely to his chest while Sansa holds Syrian to hers.
