Dani

I woke up and I was warm. I looked to se my mommy holding me.

It had almost beet two weeks since I was taken.

I tried to get up and my mommy immediately woke up, "Dani?"

She sat up and I was in her arms.

She then said, "Did you need something? I'll go get it."

Mommy had been with me ever since Grandma Nelly brought me back. She even sat outside of the bathroom when I peed. I'm not sure when she was going to go back to work.

I then remembered, "Mommy my birthday is coming up."

She nodded "I know, I have the decorations and Mama T just got the window fixed. It's going to be really nice."

I was a bit quiet. "Is Olivia going to be there?" I asked.

She did a short sigh, "I don't think Olivia is going to be coming."

I frowned, "Did you invite her?"

She shook her head, "No...I um...I said some really mean things to her. I don't think she wants to see me anymore."

I just quietly looked down at the blanket.

She stood up, "I'm going to go get your clothes ready and run your bath. You can get undressed in here."

She left and I grabbed her phone.

She made the password my birthday I scrolled down and called "Liv."

I put the phone to my ear and it rang for a long time until she picked up, "Talia."

She sounded really eager to talk to mommy.

"It's Dani. Sorry to disappoint you." I said softly.

She then said "Oh, I'm never disappointed to talk to you Dani. How are you feeling sweetheart?"

I shrugged, "I'm ok. Olivia are you upset with my Mommy, she said she said some mean stuff to you."

Olivia then said, "I um...I was a bit hurt but I do still want to see your Mommy. I know she was in a bad place when she said it. She was worried about you."

Oh...that makes sense.

"Well then can you come to my party on Saturday." I asked

My mommy then walked in. She looked confused.

Olivia then said, "I'm not sure your Mommy wants to see me. And I wouldn't feel comfortable with just showing up."

I shook my head, "She would be happy for you to come Olivia."

My mommy's eyes widened.

I sniffled, "Please for me..."

"Ok I will. But only if she's ok with it Dani." She enforced.

I then said, "I promise she's ok with you coming. I told her if you didn't come I'd cry the entire party and refuse to open all my gifts. And uncle Kevin said he'd knock the cake off the table to help me protest."

All of those were white lies but I was sure I could convince Uncle Kevin to help.

My mom glared.

Olivia giggled, "Alright, bye Dani."

I hung up the phone and my mother folded her arms.

Her glare got scarier, "Dani Taylor Love. You are messing in grown people business."

I stood up at her and looked up to her, "To be honest Mommy, I don't remember being taken."

She looked confused. She got on her knees.

She gently grabbed my shoulders, "But you couldn't stop crying when you got back. You were shaking."

I nodded softly, "I know but...after I went to sleep I woke up and I didn't remember anything. I remembered waking up from my nightmare and wanting water...and then my eyes opened again and I was in Grandma Nelly's car. I don't know why but I'm glad I forgot it all. But I want you and Olivia back...I like having two moms."

I looked up at her and poked my bottom lip out while giving her puppy dog eyes.

She chuckled and hugged me, "O, no need to bribe with cuteness. I'll talk to Liv at your party...hopefully she'll take me back."

She will. I'll bribe her if she doesn't.
