Prom was upon us and I was planning to make it the type of prom night I never got to have.

Especially now that I'm going with who I would be there with. My real high school sweetheart.

I sat on my mothers bed and as she fixed my hair.

Mama D smiled as she unpinned it.

"You look so beautiful." She said

Mama T walked in with Dani and she gasped.

"Mommy you look so pretty!" Dani yelled

I giggled and opened my arms. She ran in them and I pulled her up on my lap.

I kissed her cheek a bunch and she laughed wildly, "Mommy! Mommy stop!"

I pulled back in shock, "You don't want my kisses."

She gave me sad eyes, "I do but if you keep giving me kisses I'll be too excited to go to sleep and then I'll want you to come home tonight."

She has a point, I did get a hotel room for Liv and I but I will come home if Dani requests it.

I softly pinched her cheek, "You're right. You're just so cute, it's hard not to kiss you."

She grabbed my hand, "It's ok mommy. We move in with Olivia soon. Then you can kiss my cheek all you want."

I smiled and leant closer, "All I want?"

She giggled and said, "Ok maybe not because you'll do it all day."

I just smiled at her. I was so happy that I stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to be a parent to her.

She holds me accountable and I feel that her presence provides me with a sense of fulfillment.

"Thank you Dani." I said simply

"For what?" She asked, tilting her head.

"For existing." I said

She just stared at me quietly and tears started to well in her eyes.

She started crying and she reached for Mama T. Mama T picked her up and giggled as she carried her away.

"You've always known how to tug on her tiny heartstrings." Mama D said with a chuckle

"I hope I didn't hurt her feelings." I said softly

"You didn't. Dani has always wanted you to acknowledge her existence. And for the first time in her life you've thanked her for it. You are her dream Talia and it came true. That would bring any kid to tears." She explained

I just sat in thought until my mother finished.

Once she was done I went to the mirror and put my contacts in.

Once my vision was clear I looked at myself. I did look beautiful.

I was surprised this dress still fit.

There was a knock on the door and my mother said, "Come in."

Liv entered and she wore a gorgeous dress.

She looked between myself and my mother several times until her eyes finally landed on me.

She slowly walked in further.

"You look...really nice." She said softly.

I was slightly taken aback by her reaction, "Thank you. You look gorgeous Liv."

She glanced away.

"Danielle may I have a makeup wipe." She said

My mother nodded, "Of course. Take as many as you need. Now you two have a good time."
