Tyler
I stood behind the counter of the shop. I almost missed being behind here all the time.
With the new workers being here Danielle and I rarely work behind here together.
And despite that, I believe our marriage has gotten stronger because now we have things to talk about at the end of the day.
Danielle came down the steps and I could see her come behind the counter.
"Good morning gorgeous." She said as she kissed my forehead.
I smiled, "Good Morning."
She went to the back and I assumed she was putting on her apron.
As she did a male customer approached.
"Hello, Welcome to Nelly's Cafe, how may I help you?" I asked
He then said, "I'm not a big coffee drinker."
I nodded softly, "Well we're also known for our wide variety of teas. We can make you any tea, hot or cold though our cold drinks are considered refreshers and if you want a ice blended drink we also have those."
He fixed his tie, "Uh...how much for a date?" He asked
I then said, "You'd like rent out the cafe? For party renting we charge a hundred and fifty dollars per hour with a two hundred dollar damage and cleaning deposit fee. You can choose any date you want but we require it be at least a week after the reservation date. Catering is provided."
He just went quiet and I stared at him.
I heard a chuckle so I turned to see Danielle.
She came over and whispered, "This man has been trying to ask you out for the past two minutes babe."
My eyes widened and I blushed from embarrassment, "I am so sorry for my confusion. As for your offer, I have to politely decline. I am married." I said
He rubbed his neck and said, "Lucky guy I guess."
Then he walked off.
I turned to Danielle in shock and she was giggling, "It's alright. I think it's quite cute that you assume everyone has innocent intentions with you."
"I mean...I don't think people really would ask me out here." I said
She smirked softly, "You don't stop being beautiful because you're at work my love."
I blushed and looked away.
She gently caressed my cheek before putting on her gloves to start cleaning.

I flipped the sign on the door from open to closed and then I saw Abby walking up to the door.
I was both surprised and confused.
I opened the door and she came in. "Abby! I thought we were supposed to meet at the restaurant at 7."
She looked a bit sad, "Yes we were. I um...I haven't been honest with you Tyler."
I was now extremely confused. "Ok...come sit so we can talk."
We went and sat down together and it was silent for a few seconds.
"Abby you're worrying me." I said.
I could see a tear escape her eye, "We can't hang out alone...or go to dinner together...or drink with each other anymore."
I narrowed my eyes, "What? Why? I thought Danielle said it was fine." I said
