42. Epilogue

||Seven Years Later||

Talia

I walked down the long school halls, eager to see my wife as she finished cleaning her classroom.

I made it to the door and I looked to see her wiping down her desks. She hadn't spotted me yet.

I went behind her and before I could grab her waist she said, "You can't sneak up behind someone in heels babe."

She turned to me and stole a quick kiss, "But if you wore flats you would've gotten me."

"I'm trying to surprise you but it's so hard." I said with a pout.

She went to put her cleaning supplies away and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Talia." She said softly.

I squeezed her breast and she gasped while turning to me.

"I didn't decide to do summer school so I couldn't grope you after class." I said with a smirk.

She pulled me into the closet so we could make out.

After about ten minutes of making out we exited the closet and I went to my room to gather my things while she gathered hers.

She met me in the doorway of my classroom and we left the school together.

She was driving today so I just stared out of the window, thinking about the kids.

"Tobi is fine." She assured me.

"I just...I don't want him to think us working this summer is because we're tired of him, or don't want to be around him." I explained

"He knows we're working for his reconstruction so I'm sure he doesn't think that babe." She said, grabbing my hand

Tobi was our son. We had him using IVF, I took one of Olivia's eggs and we had him with a donor.

For the most part he was a healthy boy but when he turned 2 he developed a tumor on his brain and ever since he's had multiple surgeries to remove the tumor and reconstruct his head.

He has a big scar on his head and there is some obvious signs of the surgery that make him really self conscious.

It is hard for him to be around other kids for that reason so my mothers did me a kindness and decided to home school him for elementary as they did for Dani.

Dani, on the other hand was now twelve and was entering her teen years. She cared a lot for Tobi and I knew she'd probably get into fights with elementary schoolers if they started picking on him.

We pulled up to the cafe and I saw my mothers sitting in one of the booths.

I approached and I immediately saw Tobi drawing a flower.

He looked up to see us and he covered it.

"Mommy you can't look at the picture yet." He said

I chuckled, "Ok. Did you have fun?" I asked

He nodded, "Yes. Gramma T and Gramma D took me to get a new pack of crayons and coloring books."

Liv then said, "Is that why we can't see the picture yet?"

He nodded and she kissed his forehead, "Thats ok baby. We'll wait until your masterpiece is done. Do you know where your sister is?"

He nodded and said, "She's in the study."

I gave him a kiss on the cheek and he smiled before we went upstairs to the study, or what used to be Dani's room.

I knocked in the door and we heard, "It's open."
