She's good, she's dang good. I do not know why anyone would ever turn her away. Commercial, military, you name it she's got it written all over her. I don't think I've ever seen someone that good. The way she controlled that plane was eighteen times better than Patty Wagstaff. People always called me the spirit of Germany because I fly darn good, but not as good as her. There's just something in Marion that I've never seen in anyone else. Her soul is unique, but her veins are full of motivation.

My eyes watched in awe as her plane twisted through the sky like sheer perfection. Each loop was completed so effortlessly-yet with precision and accuracy. It was as if it was out of a picture perfect movie. I could hardly imagine how hard her hand was fighting the stick and how hard her feet were fighting the rudders. This girl's got it, and this girl has it pretty darn good. The flawless barrel rolls complimented the tight turns and flips. The rudder work along with the stick work was sheer perfection. She made zero mistakes. My eyes widened as she did a Hammerhead stall turn followed by a rapid inverted 45 degree up spin. Flawless.

After about forty minutes of flying she returned back to the ground. Her perfect flight was completed with a perfect landing. It was just like butter, in fact the best landing I have ever seen. She jumped out of the plane obviously in pain. I ran over to her as she nearly fell to the ground in pain. "Nick, I need that other shot of morphine, but I can't walk." She said and before she knew it I picked her up and placed her on the bench. My right hand rested behind her upper back and my left hand rested in the crevasse of her legs. "It just hurts so bad." Her sad voice moaned while her painful eyes poured out tears.

I opened my flight bag, which had six more shots of morphine in it. I stole them from the doctor's office. I'm planning on stealing more tonight with the elaborate plan I have fixed in my rebellious mind. The shot was buried down beneath my headset. I took it out and walked over to her. I removed the cap and knelt down next to her. She shivered in pain, which caused me pain. I carefully removed the cap and had her lift up a little portion of her shirt, in fact, just enough that I could administer the shot. "Ready?" I asked her. She shook her head yes. I was so close to poking her when her hand touched my leg. "Go ahead." She said in a soft voice. I rested my arm across her stomach so I could get a stable hand. My finger pushed the fine needle into her stomach all the way. My right thumb pushed the top of the syringe so the medicine would be administered. I gently, yet quickly pulled the needle out and disposed of it. When I stood up she still laid there in silence.

I continued to put our aviation necessities into the aircraft. I will be flying the Luftwaffe plane while she gets the unmarked plane. As soon as my body turned around I was met with Marion. Her beautiful face was inches away from mine. I mistakenly looked at her lips while the glance continued to her eyes yet again."Oh... I'm so sorry. " She mumbled under her breath. "I shouldn't have..." she began. I interrupted her, "it's alright. I just can't thank you enough for that." My mind continued to focus on her while my body put the supplies into the plane.

When my left foot finally hit the ground after I jumped off the wing I heard a deep voice. "Hallo! Das... gut!" The man's voice was inaudible, so I could only pick out a few words here and there. I signaled for Marion to hide in the corner. She followed my direction. When I turned my body around to make sure she was okay I caught her snickering behind her innocent smile. After about two minutes the men disappeared. From the looks and sounds of it they have evacuated the base. That would make sense because 75 percent is blown up. "Marion..." I started trying to talk when I noticed that she had her arms folded and her head down. It almost appeared as if she would maybe pass out, or maybe she was even disappointed in something. I have never seen someone's mood change so rapidly before. "Marion. Marion, listen to me!" I ran over to her. "Come here meine Biene." She gave a questionable look when I said that. My arms wrapped around her perfectly and I buried her head against my chest. Since she's about 5 foot 5 inches and I'm 5 foot 8 and 1/2 inches that makes it so perfect. "Tomorrow morning we will try to fly to Frankfurt to catch up with the other pilots. I can just say I was cleaning up the rubble. You need some sleep, so why don't you go back to the barrack next to mine and you can sleep. I will steal some more morphine.

She miraculously agreed to my statement and that moment we both walked from the aircraft hangar into the base. This time we took a detour. I carried both hers and my flight bag. I let her have my jacket too since she was so cold. I have to admit that I truly felt so bad because she was literally in so much pain. When we came to corridor 2 I saw the medical room. I told Marion to wait in the restroom next door.

The door to the med close squeaked when I opened it. There was a cabinet on the far left marked Morphine. I grabbed close to 20 doses. That should be good for a moment. I also grabbed more bandages. The cabinet clicked closed very quietly. When I left I walked into the bathroom and told Marion to come. She climbed out of her hiding spot in the corner. After that, we walked back to the barracks, or at least what was left. It was only the southern ones that were fine. Luckily I was staying in that one. I let Marion stay in the room across from me. It was just us and a few guys here and there that were coming. The new post is in Frankfurt instead of Düsseldorf.

I've been creating a plan in my mind. That's called Operation fools gold...
