I wasn't mistaken. I knew what I saw. Mrs. Inclement gave something to my mother. I didn't know why, but I had a sinking feeling.
And I didn't like that feeling. I hoped I was wrong.
I floated into the classroom the next day. I still couldn't shake off what I had witnessed yesterday. It lingered in my mind, refusing to fade away.
"Holly," Maddie called out. I looked at her.
"Are you alright?" she asked with concern.
I nodded and forced a smile. "Yes, I'm fine. Don't worry."

"Yeah."
Why would Mrs. Inclement even give it to her? They look like they could be starring in a soap opera with all that drama. That old lady's glare could turn milk sour. Aside from that, there are the "terms and conditions".
I shook my head. Sa susunod ko na lang 'to iisipin. I need to think of what gift I can give Blaze for his birthday. Ilang araw na lang kasi. Kiss na lang kaya? Charot. Unless...?
What are his interests anyway? Soccer? Dancing? Whenever I ask him what he likes, he never gives a straight answer. Ako daw yung gusto niya. What? Should I just gift-wrap myself?

Kinuha ko ang cellphone ko para magchat sa GC namin. Itatanong ko lang sana sa kanila kung anong magandang pang-regalo.
Nanlaki ang mga mata ko when I saw Maddie's name sa GC namin. She's asking why she's even there.
