The day after my whole Alex argument thing, it was like it never happened. It was as if we had a silent agreement not to mention it. That worked well, because the next morning I woke up to Alex.

"Lexi, get up. I made pancakes," he whispered to me, as I lie asleep in my bed.

"No," I groan. I just turn over and close my eyes again.

"But Lexi, I made pancakes." He poked my side, shoving me slightly over.

"Your cooking is terrible, I don't want your pancakes."

He groans back at me. "If you don't get up, I'll make you get up. I mean it, I will."

Considering I'd rather not see if he means it or not, I turn to face him. "I don't want to."

Alex smiles at me. "Get up and get dressed."

Most of the day was sitting around with Alex, just watching various television shows and joking around. I asked Alex about what school I'd have to go to, and he explained that I'll be going to his old high school. It's only January, so the school is on break. He said that when it opens back up, he will take me to get enrolled.

I glance at Alex, and I notice he's on his phone.

"What are you doing, texting your girlfriend?" I smirk at him. He sends me a glare.

"No, actually, I'm texting Rian."

"So it IS your girlfriend. For? Deciding you don't want me anymore?" I smile at him, because I'm joking. Sort of.

Alex comes over to me and places his arms over my shoulders. "You stink, Alex. Go take a shower or something. Or wear deodorant, I heard that helps animals like you."

He flicks my cheek, like that time back at the orphanage. "I don't stink, that's probably just you. Anyway, I was asking Rian if he would come over and keep an eye on you. I have to go food shopping and pick up a few things, and knowing you, I shouldn't leave you alone. He said he'll be here in around fifteen minutes. And PLEASE, don't hurt Rian. I need my drummer. Probably."

I smirk. "No promises."

Alex gets up to get ready, and I just grab my laptop. I scroll around twitter - possibly stalking all the fans - until Alex tells me Rian is nearly here. I glance at my baggy PTV shirt and my skinny jeans.

"I think I'm presentable," I mumble to myself. I haven't seen any of the guys since they dropped us off. We've talked to them on the phone, but there haven't been many actual appearances. I think they said something about giving us space but knowing them, it's probably because they don't want to make the effort to drive here. Since they're really lazy.

I hear a knock on the door. Alex was standing nearby, so we just exchange glances.

"Well, open the door, kiddo."

Even though I'd like to pinch Alex for calling me kiddo, I go to the door anyway. When I open it, I see Rian wearing a white shirt and his usual black pants.

"Lexi! How are you? I've missed you!" Rian says to me, pulling me into a hug. I hug him back with just as much enthusiasm.

"I'm doing okay! I mean, Alex is a jerk but I haven't killed him in his sleep yet. That should count for something."

Rian laughs, and we both stop when we hear Alex yell down to us. "Hey, I heard that!"

We begin to laugh more, walking further into the house.

Within another fifteen minutes, Alex was on his way to the store. Rian and I just sat talking, catching up on a lot of things and learning about eachother.
