{Ella's POV}

We get offers. Everyone offers you something in your life. Even a marriage proposal is in a sense an offer, but a more important and special offer. So when you've been offered marriage and you accept, but then you get offered your dream, things become hard.

"Doctor Horan!" I hear a voice call from behind me and turn around to see the boss of the whole hospital, Dr. Andrew Edmunds, walking towards me, a bright smile spread across his face.

I place down the paper work I was filling out and turn around so I am face on to him when he comes to a stop. I think I've talked to this lad once since he moved to this hospital and became head of the place. It's kind of nerve racking because he is my boss' boss.

"Hello," I smile at him cheerfully. I'm about to piss myself with nerves, but let's play not scared!

"Hello, Ella?" He questions. I nod my head in response and Dr. Edmunds smiles. "Okay, do you mind following me to the board room?" Dr. Edmunds asks and I feel my heart palpitating in my chest.

"Okay," I respond and follow Dr. Edmunds to the elevator where we take a dead silent ride up to the board room. When I enter, I notice my boss, the head of Emergency, and three other board members in the room.

"Take a seat, Doctor Horan," one of the other board members, Dr. Jane Whistler, smiles at me.

I shakily pull out my chair and then take a seat in it, sitting up straight and trying to hide my nerves. I haven't done something bad have I? I always try my hardest, and I hardly lose patients. Am I not doing my job right?

"Ella, we have been going through your patient records and all of the work you have done for us over the past few years," Dr. Edmunds tells me. "It is outstanding! Especially for someone of such a young age," he adds and the others nod their heads. I'm twenty- eight, that's not that young... is it?

"A job has come up, that people were hoping you might be able to take on," Dr. Whistler informs me. I nod my head, asking for more information. Is it in this hospital? "It is a Head of Emergency position," Dr. Whistler tells me.

Well, there's already one of them here, so it must be at another hospital.

"You would be on trial for a year, and within that time you will be allowed to decide whether to keep the job or not," Dr. Edmunds explains. Well, keeping the job would be a no brainer, you would think.

"Okay," I nod.

"The job is at The Royal Children's Hospital," Dr. Edmund says. We have one of them? "It's in Melbourne," he adds and I have to stop myself from choking. Melbourne. As in, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Oh fuck.

"Now, we know it's obviously in Australia, which is quite far away," Dr. Whistler tells me information every idiot knows. "And we understand it would be a decision that will take time to think about and decide, but The Royal Children's Hospital are really hoping you can come and lead their Emergency Department," Dr. Whistler informs me. That is blackmail in a way....

They personally asked for me to take this job. At a children's hospital. To help develop it. Helping children... In fucking Australia. Fucking ten and a half THOUSAND miles away.

"Um, this is, wow," I tell them all, still in partial shock. I was offered this job. I've been offered my dream job. Head of Emergency, and even better, at a children's hospital. "I mean, it really is a big deal and amazing, but I'd have to talk to my husband, I have my own child, this is yeah," I tell them.

As amazing as this is, Niall and Asha kind of come first. I cannot go and make decisions without consulting with Niall. I said yes to Niall's offer long before this came along.
