This is the last chapter of the book. I'm still contemplating whether to do just an epilogue... Sorry it took so bloody damn long (very very long) to update ! Tell me what you think... Thank you for reading, as always. Incredible people.

{Perrie's POV}

June 2023

I don't ever think that things are going to be excellent. There are moments that are brilliant, but nothing is ever excellent. You learn that anything amazing that ever happened didn't come easy. But the most incredible things are what make us happy. Because something has got to make all the crap worthwhile, right...?

There can't possibly be a cloud in the sky, not with the way that every star is shining brightly, blazing through the greyish blue that is there. Apparently my new habit is to come and sit outside in the early hours of the morning. I don't care that it is freezing, that my bottom is numb against the dew covered grass and my nose and ears feel non-existent.

It's quiet. Everything out here is quiet. Sometimes you can hear the rumble of a car, or even the trains, in the distance, a bit like this morning - but normally it is silent. But it can be dangerous. Not literally, but you can get lost in your own thoughts, lose track of time, of everything and anything.

"Mummy." The sound of Ellie's voice makes me jump a little.

I turn around and she is standing just outside of the sliding door that leads out of our bedroom. The door is still slightly open as she clutches onto her blanket, Duckie under in her left hand, wild curls of bed-hair and a slight frown of confusion on her face.

"Close the door, Boo," I nod behind her. Ellie does what I asked and then makes her way over to me, landing in my lap, sending a thump through my body. Her blanket is still wrapped around her and I pull the multiple blankets I brought out around both of us.

Ellie rests back against my chest and the only sound that can be heard is her deep breathing, signifying that she is still not completely awake. Ellie wakes up early too - it's probably coming up to five am now.

A bash behind us causes both Ellie and I to turn quickly, only to see Rosie topple back onto Lillie behind the glass. Oh they're idiots. Rosie just ran into the door, and has now fallen back onto her twin.

When they finally figure out what they're doing, they manage do get the door open and they come out. Rosie attempts to close the door, but without Lillie's help, there's no hope in hell that she'll move it by herself. It's too heavy.

"What is you doing?" Rosie asks, once she's followed Lillie over to us. Both of them are now sanding side by side, in front of Ellie and myself, looking at us quizzically.

"It's cold," Lillie points out, shivering a little. Neither of them have blankets like Ellie did, just their stuffed toys clutched in their hands.

"Come here," I open the blankets up again and they stumble into the cocoon of warmth. Rosie nestling into Ellie's lap and Lillie taking my other knee. "Why are you two awake?"

"Ellie got up." Is the blunt answer I receive from Lillie.

"We get up too then," Rosie expands on Lillie's answer, turning to face me slightly. The orange colour of the sun rising creates a slight sparkle in her brown eyes as she continues to just look at me. "Why bue?" Rosie tilts her head to the side questionably. I'm taking it 'bue' means 'blue'.

"Why are my eyes blue?" I clarify that is what Rosie is asking. I can't think what else she'd be referring to on my face that's blue? Rosie nods and I proceed to answer, "Well, me Mam has blue eyes, and that's where I got mine from."
