LUCY'S P.O.V
I was still sat in the kitchen listening to John and Paul babble, when I heard the phone ringing in the next room. 'This is my queue to get up and be noticed' I thought. But John nor Paul even looked my direction when I left the kitchen table! They were still in deep conversation, laughing like fools.
When I eventually picked up the phone, to my expectation; it was Vicky.
She told me that she had called to make sure I was okay and well, as she knows it's very unlike me to have a day off school. Especially because she knew I felt fine last night.
After I explained why I took the day off, I told her that I couldn't talk much because John Lennon is in my kitchen speaking to Paul! Vicky's reaction was a very loud, high-pitched scream down the phone, so high-pitched it made my ear ring and I had to move the phone away from my face.
"Shhh, Vicky! They're in the room next door!" I whispered into the phone. "Anyway, I gotta go! I'll call you later. Bye bye!" I giggled.
"Okay, you've gotta tell me everything later! Bye Luce." she replied. I put the phone down and smiled to myself, realising Vicky had every reason to scream. I had two extremely attractive and popular teddy boys sat in my kitchen! Despite Paul being like a brother, I must admit that I do find him quite attractive. I've always denied having any feelings towards him, I've known him too long, but I must admit- he is attractive as heck. I've always found his eyes the most beautiful, peculiar creation.
Not forgetting John, the boy that pretty much every girl in school has a crush on. I remember in Lettering class Cynthia never shut up about him, all the girls would utterly swoon over him, and I can completely understand why. He's the tall, handsome, mysterious sort. His eyes are like a well of untold stories and concealed feelings, but on the outside he was the most physically attractive guy in the Art College. And I got to kiss him!
I made my way back into the kitchen to be greeted by the boys.
"Hey Lucy, who was that on the phone?" Paul asked.
"Just Vicky. It looks like you two are getting along well then, eh!" I said taking a seat back at the kitchen table.
"Aye, you're right! Paul's great, Luce!" exclaimed John, exchanging a fist-bump with Paul.
"Ahh." Paul murmured, looking at the clock hanging on our wall. "I'd better be off now, me dad wanted me home early tonight, so I can urrr, help out and stuff, like. I'll see ye tomorrow at school!" Paul announced, quickly getting up from his chair and picking up his bag. "See ye tomorrow Lennon! Can't wait to teach you guitar, ay. Hope yer mum 'nd dad likes the cakes too, Lucy! Bye!" he said, letting himself out.
"Bye Paul! Thanks again, see you tomorrow." I yelled
"See yer soon Paul! Nice meetin' ya!" John called.
And with that, he was gone, it was just John Lennon and myself sat alone in my kitchen. I asked him what he was talking about with Paul and he told me it was mainly music. He gave me rants about guitars and musicians I had never heard of, that Paul and himself both like. He then continued to lecture me about how wonderful he thought Paul was and how he could not believe they hadn't met before then.
After the lectures about Paul, we got into a rather deep conversation about our family. I explained how it was only myself and my parents living at home because my elder brother had moved out and gone to London, to be with the rest of my family that we were no longer in contact with. In return he told me the tragic story of his mother passing away and what it's like to live with his aunt, although the conversation was rather light hearted. He told me where he likes to go when he gets fed up with Mimi (his aunt), and told me several funny stories about him and his friends (I laughed most at the story he told me about hitch-hiking on a bus roof!)
