His arm sticking out the window, Dean increased the speed of his black Chevy Impala, gliding down the empty Kansas streets. It felt good to be out in his baby. Dean was enjoying his drive so much that he didn't notice the buzzing in his pocket.

It was Castiel calling from home. But Dean wasn't paying attention to his phone and continued driving down the barren road. He was heading to his brother's apartment in the neighboring city. Dean originally parked down the road from the brick building, an old habit from his days as a hunter.

After realizing what he had done, Dean drove over to the parking lot beside the brick building. He excitedly exited the car and jogged up to the building's door. He buzzed for Sam and, as quickly as he could, ran up to his brother's apartment on the fourth floor.

After walking in, Dean set his coat and cell phone on Sam's kitchen table. "Sammy, you will not believe the news I have!" Dean gave his brother a hug.

"That's great, Dean. Uh...could you wait a minute? Monica's leaving for work soon and then we can talk," Sam left the kitchen to see his girlfriend out.

Dean pulled his phone out of his coat pocket and saw he had six missed calls and four new messages. He put the phone to his ear and listened to Cas's worried voice:

"Hey there, Dean. It's me...Cas. I was wondering why you left in such a hurry. And...well, why you left without me. Just call me back please."

Dean dialed Cas's number and waited for the gruff voice to answer.

"Hello?"

"Cas! Hey, I'm sorry I left so quickly. I was really excited to tell Sammy and I...I guess I forgot to tell you first. You can come over if you'd like. We can tell him together," Dean waited for his boyfriend to respond.

"I'll be over there in a sec--" Before he could even finish his sentence, Castiel appeared behind Dean, a trick he could perform as an angel.

"What happened to acting like a regular human being?" Sam had returned and retrieved three beers from the fridge.

"I had to get here quickly and we only have the one car," Castiel seemed nervous, as if he were a child being scolded for playing with Mom's makeup.

"It's fine, Cas," Dean said, noticing the tension is his voice.

"So what's the big news that I had to hear?" Sam passed the bottles to Dean and Castiel.

"Cas and I are finally going to have a baby!" Dean spat out the words without missing a beat.

Castiel shifted his weight uncomfortably and gave a forced smile to Sam.

"Congrats, guys," Sam patted his brother on the shoulder. "How are you gonna go about this?"

"That's kind of why we're here," Dean filled his brother in on the options he and Cas had discussed the previous night.

"Wow. Big decisions. I'd say either adopt or find a surrogate mother. That way nobody has to go through all that supernatural business of removing Graces or anything like that."

"Would you be willing to help us through the processes?" Cas looked hopefully at Sam.

"Of course. Monica and I would love to help you guys."

Dean kissed Cas and held him tightly. "This," he whispered, "this is real. We're having a baby."

Castiel returned Dean's embrace and whispered back, "I'm ready."
