At exactly two o'clock Dean pulled into the Gas n Sip where Castiel was ringing up his final customer. Dean honked the horn on his Impala to get Cas's attention. Castiel waved at Dean through the window to acknowledge him and told Beth he was leaving.
Castiel practically jumped into the passenger seat and buckled the seatbelt. "Hello, Dean. Are you ready to continue the search for our child's mother?" Cas looked to Dean hopefully.
"Yeah, of course. Sam'll probably be pretty helpful." The rest of the short ride home was silent. There was no need for words; the feeling of excitement and nervousness was enough conversation for the two of them.
At home, Castiel immediately started preparing the house for visitors. He cleaned the kitchen, organized the living room and ensured there was an appropriate amount of beer for everybody.
Sam arrived shortly after with his girlfriend, Monica. Both Cas and Dean greeted them and everyone walked to the living room. Sam and Monica had been to the house before and spread themselves out on the gray couch. Castiel and Dean sat opposite them on the matching recliners.
Everybody laughed, drank, told stories, and scoured the Internet for a surrogate mother who looked like Castiel. By eight o'clock the closest they had come was a woman in Maine that was too far away. "There's no hope," Castiel sighed while closing his laptop.
"Of course there is," Monica soothed. "We just have to keep looking."
"Yeah, Cas, buddy. We'll find you guys the perfect mother. Don't even worry about it," Sam typed something into his computer and resumed searching.
"It'll be alright, Cas," Dean rubbed Castiel's shoulder and closed his laptop. "I'm gonna order a pizza. Don't worry, Sam-we have salad stuff in the kitchen." Dean exited the living room and pulled out his phone to order the pizza.
Everyone continued searching the numerous websites to find the perfect surrogate mother. "Dean?" Cas called into the kitchen. "I think I found one! Really, I think I found one!"
Dean ran into the living room and grabbed Cas's laptop. On the screen was a picture of a blue-eyed, black haired woman with a serious smile. Cas looks hopefully at Dean and Dean returned his gaze with a grin.
The two embraced. Everyone celebrated and spent the rest of the evening doing a background check and sending a message to the woman from the website. "Her name is Cassidy Johnson," Cas said for the third time that night. "And she's perfect."
"She really is, Cas," said Dean. "And she only lives an hour and a half from here. We can meet her as soon as she replies to our message."
The pizza arrived shortly after and Castiel looked at the picture of Cassidy the whole time. Sam and Monica ended up leaving around midnight when their fun had just about subsided. Dean and Cas were not finished yet and stayed up until two in the morning, hugging and loving each other.
By one the couple had decided to go to bed but ended up spending over an hour making out on the couch before going up the stairs where they fell asleep in embrace.
