Castiel started dozing off on the gray couch he and Dean had picked out when they first moved in. His eyelids felt heavy and he wanted to go to bed. "I think I found a good one!" Dean shouted from across the living room.

Castiel walked over to Dean and scanned the webpage displayed on his computer. An image of a woman with brown hair and blue eyes was smiling at Cas. "The hair's too light," Castiel snapped and returned to the couch.

"C'mon, Cas! We've been at it all night. We're not gonna find the perfect mother. Can't you just make a decision?"

"Can't you just understand that this is harder for me than it is for you? The baby will definitely look like you if we're using your sperm. I want the mother to look like me so it can be our baby, not your baby with a random woman!"

"Cas, I'm trying to understand. I get that this is hard but I just don't know how to make you feel better."

"I'm not asking for your consolation, Dean. I want empathy!"

"Don't be a baby, Cas!" Castiel jumped from the couch and went upstairs to the bedroom. Dean sighed and went to the kitchen.

Dean opened the freezer and found a frozen pie. It was one of his favorite flavors: cherry. Dean practically threw the frozen dessert into the oven and drank a beer while it baked. When it was done, he pulled the pie out and shoved a fork into the crispy crust.

Dean stuffed a forkful of steaming cherry filling into his mouth and exhaled in pain. Defeated, Dean retreated to the bedroom where Castiel was sound asleep. Dean pulled off his shirt and jeans and threw them in the hamper.

Castiel let out a snore and rolled over onto his side. Dean sat next to him and remembered the first time Cas had needed to sleep and eat. Even after getting his Grace back, Castiel required rest and food.

Dean wrapped his body around his boyfriend and waited for sleep to surround him.

The gesture had woken Castiel up and he tried to stay motionless until Dean fell asleep. Then he pulled out his smartphone and continued searching for a surrogate mother to have their baby.

Cas just couldn't understand why it was so hard to find a woman with black hair, blue eyes, a serious expression, and was willing to have a baby for him and Dean. After about an hour of no luck, Castiel texted Sam to see if he could use his computer knowledge to help find a mother.

Sam replied almost instantly and said he could show up tomorrow afternoon and help them look. Cas replied with a quick thanks and turned off his phone. Dean had fallen asleep long ago and Cas decided to close his eyes.

In a matter of seconds, Cas and Dean were lying, sound asleep, together in the queen size bed they had put together themselves.
