"What's going on, Dean?"
"Put these on," Dean handed the blue pair of swimming shorts to Castiel, keeping the black pair for himself.
"Here? Now?" Castiel did not take the swimsuit.
"Yes!" Dean shook the fabric at Castiel. "C'mon, take it."
Castiel accepted the bathing suit and opened the waist by spreading his fingers. He watched as Dean started taking off his clothes, starting with his shirt.
Dean stopped and looked over at Castiel. He gestures for Castiel to follow his lead and Cas started undoing his tie, his eyes never leaving Dean.
Castiel was staring intently at Dean undress. Noticing every movement, indulging in every inch of bare skin now showing.
When Dean was finished and had his swimsuit on, Castiel was still taking off his shirt. Dean walked over and, without a word, began helping Castiel undress. It took everything of Castiel not to kiss him on the spot and tension started rising.
Both of them were appropriately dressed for swimming and Dean walked to the edge of the cliff, the sparkling water below. Castiel followed him and stood beside his boyfriend.
"Are you ready?" Dean said, grabbing Cas's hand.
"Ready for what?" Castiel gripped Dean tighter, fearful of what Dean had in mind.
"This," Dean tightened his grip on Castiel and jumped over the edge, Cas following closely behind. Dean whooped and cheered as he fell into the water.
Castiel screamed in fear, his shouts echoing into the lake. An icy surge of coolness snaked through Castiel's veins. When the two emerged, still holding hands, Castiel pulled himself close to Dean.
"Never do that again, Dean!" Castiel gasped for air.
"Why not?" Dean let go of Castiel and swam a few feet away.
Castiel paddled fearfully to Dean where he gripped his shoulder. There was a moment where everything was still. Both Cas and Dean looked to Dean's shoulder where Castiel's hand was placed on the scar he had left, years ago, when he raised Dean from perdition
There was a moment of intimacy between Dean and Cas, but Castiel released Dean's shoulder and grabbed his neck instead.
They swam in silence for a while, until Castiel paddled to the shore line and looked at Dean.
"How are we going to get the things we left in the clearing?" Castiel inquired.
"There's a short trail leading up the to it. I just thought we could enjoy the water."
"It is quite nice now that my body has adjusted to the temperature," Castiel stated.
"I'm glad you like it, Cas."
"I am glad you shared this with me Dean."
The couple smiled at each other and swam together for about thirty minutes. Then they pulled themselves out of the water and Dean led Castiel to the trail.
Back at the clearing, Dean and Castiel spent a little more time eating and laughing together. Eventually, they packed up their things and headed back to the Impala.
"Dean?"
"What, Cas?"
"Can I drive?"
Dean looked at Castiel's pleading eyes and without hesitation said, "No. Maybe some other time."
It was strange to Castiel that a car could mean so much to someone. It was just a vehicle after all, wasn't it? But what Cas didn't realize was that Dean's car was much more than just a mode of transportation. It was his home for such a long time.
Castiel had never really had a home. He was in heaven for such a long time, his short period on earth was something that amazed him. And Castiel kind of had to thank Dean. After all, if it wasn't for him, Castiel wouldn't have needed to come down to earth in the first place.
