Everly's POV
I'm trying to get ready for my prom but my make up isn't going right and my hair is a mess. I start crying and Mom walks in.

"Mom you gotta help me out here! It's a disaster and I haven't even put my dress on!" I cry.

Mom laughs.

"I think someone's a bit hormonal." She teases, wiping my tears.

I glare at her.

"Let's start again, shall we?" Mom suggests, grabbing the packet of make up wipes and taking my make up off.

"It didn't really work." I sigh.

"I can see that. Here's a question, did you put primer on before your eyeshadow?" Mom asks.

"No." I say.

"Okay. Always put primer on before your eyeshadow." She laughs.

"I don't have that much time." I say looking at my phone.

"It's okay, don't panic. I'll do your make up and you can do your hair." Mom says and hands me the curling iron.

Jake runs in.

"Hey buddy." I smile.

"Everly why are you stealing Mom?" He asks, trying to climb on me.

"I haven't stolen Mom, she's helping me." I say, lifting him to sit on my make up top.

Teagal walks in with a toy truck in his hand.

"Mommy, Daddy wants to know why there's chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in the refrigerator." He says.

"Gross." I cringe.

"Teagal, can you tell Daddy that Mommy said they're for later and she raised her eyebrows." Mom asks and I laugh.

"Uh Huh!" He nods, running out.

"Can I help?" Jake asks, picking up an eyebrow pencil.

"You can do my make up later, sweetie." Mom says to him.

"I'm gonna go on the trampoline." He says and jumps down then runs off.

"I love them but they're so chaotic." Mom says and I laugh.

"I bet I wasn't like that." I say.

"No. You were worse." She says.

Dad walks in with Teagal in his arms.

"What's going on in here?" Dad asks.

"Mom's helping me get ready." I say, pinning two pieces of my hair back.

"I'm gonna do your eyeliner now so hold still." Mom says and I close my eyes.

"Can I have that too?" Teagal asks.

"Sure." Dad nods, taking the other eyeliner pen.

He draws a smiley face on Teagal's nose with it.

"What color eyeshadow are you having?" Mom asks me.

"The silver one." I say, passing her the palette.

Jake walks in with his barbie.

"Can we choose your lipstick?" Teagal asks.

"I've already chosen, sorry T." I say.

"How much time have you got left?" Mom asks me.

"45 minutes." I say.
