Michael's POV
I'm eating breakfast with Delaney.

"So, Liz is coming over again later today." I say tentatively.

"Alone?" Delaney raises her eyebrows.

"No, with Reese and Lucas like the last few times." I say.

"Ew." Delaney mutters, walking to the sink and putting her bowl in there.

"I really don't understand what your problem is. Liz is lovely and she's never said a word out of place to you. I wish I could say the same for you." I say.

"How can you even say that? She's the biggest diva I've ever met; waltzing in here and expecting to be liked because that's what she's used to? I don't think so." Delaney laughs sarcastically.

"The only diva I'm seeing around here is you. Sort it out, kid." I say seriously.

"She's changing you, her and her snotty kids, and the worst part is that you don't even see it, Dad." Delaney says.

"You have been beyond disrespectful to Liz, so much so that I'm actually surprised she still comes over." I say.

"I'm working on that. Just wait." Delaney says.

"Delaney, Liz and I are together and we plan to stay that way wether you like it or not." I say.

"We'll see." Delaney says, starting to walk upstairs.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"I have homework." Delaney says.

"I think it would be really nice of you to make an effort. It wouldn't kill you, you know." I call out.

"It might." Delaney yells before slamming her bedroom door shut.

I sigh and clear up.

Timeskip - Delaney's POV

Liz arrived with her kids and Dad made me sit with them all. I'm sat on the couch on my phone while they all play games.

"Delaney, come play!" Reese smiles.

"We're playing snap!" Lucas says.

"No thanks." I mutter.

"It's fun." Lucas says.

"It's animal snap." Reese says, showing me the cards.

"That's great." I roll my eyes.

"Delaney, be nice." Dad warns.

"You can play, Delaney." Lucas says.

"Lucas, honey, I don't think Delaney wants to play animal snap." Liz says.

"Oh. We can play a different game!" Lucas says.

"Well I'm telling you now that I won't want to play that one either." I say, standing up.

"Maybe we should finish up the games. Order some food." Liz suggests.

"Ooh can we get burgers?" Reese asks.

"Sure. You want fries or onion rings?" Liz asks.

"Or both." Dad grins.

"Yay!" Reese cheers.

"Definitely both." Lucas nods.

"That's your fault, Michael." Liz looks at Dad.

"Oh, so what if they go over their little sugar intake plan you have? That's what being six is all about!" Dad says, tickling Reese.

"No! Stop Michael!" She giggles.

"Alright, I'm leaving." I say walking out.

"We're going to eat so stay here please." Dad says.
