08:45 AM
Warm sunlight filtered through the half closed curtains in the master bedroom, casting shadows over the rustic furniture and crisp white bedsheets. Michael didn't like to wake his wife, especially when she looked as peaceful as she did - lying across the bed wearing comfy shorts and a lounge bra with the covers lazily tossed over her, curly light brown hair tickling her nose and chest rising gently with every soft breath."Good morning, sweetheart." Michael sat on the edge of the bed and kissed her forehead delicately.
"Mm..." Liz stirred awake slowly, eyes staying shut for a minute longer.
"You forgot to set an alarm last night, honey." Michael chuckled, having waited for her usual alarm to sound at 08:30 but no alarm came.
"What? What time is it?!" Liz panicked, scrambling for her phone on the dresser.
"Relax, Liz. I let you sleep in an extra fifteen minutes but you still have plenty of time." Michael said calmly, rubbing her bare arm.
"Oh. Okay." Liz yawned, lying back in the sheets.
"You're so beautiful." Michael smiled, unable to take his eyes off of her.
"You're saying that from a distance which is lucky because I have disgraceful morning breath right now." Liz grinned and Michael laughed.
"So glad you're keeping the romance alive." Michael rolled his eyes with a chuckle.
"Otis!" Liz squealed excitedly when Otis jumped up on the bed and crawled into her lap. "Hey baby."
"He was barking outside the bedroom door for you all morning once I got up." Michael told her while Otis licked her face.
"Ew, no, Otis!" Liz frowned, wiping her cheek with her hand.
"What time do you need to be at the theatre today?" Michael asked her.
"Not until 4pm. Are you working today?" Liz asked, picking up her phone to scroll through her schedule.
"Nope. I have a few errands to run but I was thinking I'll drop you at work and do the errands and then by the time I'm done, I can come see you at work." Michael explained.
"Babe, you don't have to come see me at work like every week." Liz smiled shyly.
"I know, but I want to." Michael smiled, leaning forward to kiss her.
"Morning breath." Liz held her hand in front of her mouth.
"I don't care." Michael smiled, pushing her hand aside and pressing his lips to hers.
"Are you sure you're not coming to my work because I look hot in my Audrey costume? Because if it is, you know I'll just bring the dress home one night." Liz asked with a smirk, holding her hands on his shoulders.
"Liz," Michael laughed. "You look hot in everything. I like coming to watch you at work because I see how happy you are. You're glowing the whole time, even when I pick you up late and you're exhausted. I see how much this job means to you."
"I'm hungry." Liz said simply, then glanced back to his face that had dropped. "I'm kidding, honey. That was very sweet of you to say."
"I mean it. Watching you every night is like watching you on opening night on repeat." Michael said, holding her hand. "Now let's get you some breakfast."
10:30 AM
After breakfast of her new favourite combo, buttered toast with berries and a herbal tea, Liz showered and did her skincare and hair routines. She wore dark blue wide legged jeans with a cropped yellow T-shirt, showing off a small section of her lower belly. Her natural curls were out and she added a small amount of natural make up to tie everything together.
