This chapter was requested, but it wasn't made clear if they wanted Liz and Matt as a couple, so I decided myself :)

Liz's POV
I'm on face time to Matt while he's in Denver for a DJ gig.

"When are you coming home?" I ask while putting food out for the dogs.

"Four days, babe." Matt says and I groan.

"That's ages!" I pout.

"It's not that long." He chuckles. "I'll be back before you know it."

"It's longer when you're not here." I say quietly.

"I promise I will be home soon and we can do whatever you want for as long as you want." Matt says.

"Will you bring me back a present from Denver?" I ask and he laughs.

"You want a mug for your collection, don't you?" He asks.

"Yes please." I smile.

"Alright." He smiles back.

"Yay! I have to go because Otis and Lucy are fighting again." I tell him, trying to separate the two dogs.

"Okay. I love you and I'll see you soon." Matt says.

"Love you." I say and blow him a kiss before hanging up.

Timeskip - Matt's POV

I'm on my way to surprise Liz by returning home two days early. I get to the set they film Dynasty at and a director shows me in.

"Liz is about to film a scene, so you can come through this door." The director whispers and I nod.

I open the door and walk in. Liz has her back to me and is talking with Maddison. She points at me and Liz turns around.

"Matt!" Liz squeals, running over to me and jumping into my arms, wrapping her legs around me.

"I missed you." I smile.

"I thought you said you'd be here on Wednesday. It's Monday." She says.

"I wanted to surprise you." I say.

"I'm definately surprised." Liz says.

"I bought you a vintage mug. It's in my bag in the car. There's also donuts that I got for us and this amazing vegan chocolate that I think you'll really-" She cuts me off.

"Shut up and kiss me." She says and I press my lips against hers.

"Jesus, get a room you two!" Maddison yells and we break apart, laughing.

"She's right, Liz. We kinda need you to finish this scene." A camera man says.

"Alright." Liz says and I put her down.

"I'll go wait in your trailer." I say and kiss her cheek before walking out.

Timeskip

Liz and I are watching a movie after ordering Chinese food.

"Never leave me for a week again." She says, snuggling up to my chest.

"I'm sorry, gorgeous. I'll try and make sure it's only for a couple of days next time." I tell her, wrapping my arm around her shoulder and kissing her hair.

"Good, because if there's anything I learned this past week it's that I literally can't live without you." She says.

"Aww, babe. I love you so much and I found this week just as hard as you did." I say playing with her hair.

"I love you, Matt." Liz says looking up at me.

"I love you, Liz." I say kissing her nose.

She giggles and then yawns.

"You can sleep, babe. I'll take you to bed when the movie finishes." I say.

"Okay." She says closing her eyes. "Just please don't leave me."

"Promise." I nod.

The next thing I know Liz is sleeping peacefully against my chest as the movie continues to play in the background.
