Chapter 26 | flight

3rd person pov:

It's 11 am when Chan and (y/n) arrive at the airport. His parents joined them, to make sure they get on the right plane without any bigger issues.
When they arrive at the waiting space, the adults leave, since they have to get to work. After saying their goodbyes, the couple sits down and make themselves comfortable, but then (y/n)s phone starts to buzz. It's Felix.
"Hello?", The girl picks.
A deep and slightly annoyed voice answers: "Why didn't you tell me?"
"What are you talking about Felix?"
The Australian sighs: "Flying to paris?"
"Oooh, how do you know?"
Chan looks at the girl beside him concerned, until two other girls walk Infront of them.
"I told him", Jade says with a smirk on her face, making (y/n) almost gage in disgust, but she ignores her.
"Everything's a bit... spontaneous..", she tries to explain, but Felix is still upset.
"Since everything is spontaneous, I can spontaneously join you", before his female friend is able to say anything he has always ended the call. Annoyed the girl looks up to Jade, who is still giving her a evil smile, before letting herself fall onto Chan's lap. Even tho (Y/n) could feel her jealousy boiling up, she decided to ignore her rival and instead look out for Felix, who shortly after, arrived at the three together with Rosa. As soon as they do, Jade stands up and greets Rosa with a hug. Again (y/n) feels sick to her stomach and again, she just ignores it.
"Spoon Chan, why would you take 'her' out to visit the city of love and not me?~", Jade plates with her hair, acting all cute. While (y/n) glaces at the pretty girl annoyed, the boy besides her puts his hand on her leg, showing her there is no reason to be insecure.
"We are traveling there for something different", he explained shortly. That made Jade's eyes light up: "So we can join you right?"
Before either Chan nor (y/n) are able to respond, Jade sits down beside Chan this time. Rosa and Felix sit on the opposite sites of the three, with Felix beside his friend and Rosa beside Jade. Everything feels awkward, since they just turned from two people to five in a matter of seconds. Unsure the lovebirds look at each other, causing the other to smile, as the instructions to board are blasting through the speaker.
When they finally arrive at their assigned seats, Jade, more or less sneakily, takes the seat next to Chan. Trying to not hold up the line of people behind her, (y/n) takes Jade's original seat and is sitting next to Rosa, who is staring down at her phone.

(Y/n) pov:

As my anxiety is getting worst, I turn around to look at Chan, who gives me a smile, which I return. Maybe I can try to change seats when we're in the air? Or maybe I'd just make unnecessary trouble? A sigh escapes my lips. I really wanted to sit next to him, I mean, this is my first flight after all..

A few hours passed. We are still flying. Everyone's asleep it seems.

I open my eyes and look around quietly. Rosa is snoring a bit. Carefully I pass her to go to the toilet. On my way I pass Felix, who is peaceful sleeping as well. I take a second to admire his visuals. He really has a cute but handsome face with the most adorable freckles I have ever seen. I really don't know why he's insecure about them.. maybe I should compliment him a bit more..
As I stare at my friend, I don't notice how a flight attendant comes up to me.
"Miss?", The woman says, making me jump a bit.
"Oh", immediately I feel bad for just standing there, "I'm sorry I'm standing in the way. I just wanted to use the bathroom."
My reaction makes her chuckle a bit: "That's not why I came up to you."
I sigh and let her continue to talk.
"I noticed what happend with that girl, you and you boyfriend", she means Chan.., "We're not supposed to do that, but these are two free seats in first class.."
For a second I look at her and then in Chans direction.
"If he agrees, then I would agree as well", a bit embarrassed I scratch the back of my neck, giving her a small smile, which she returns.
"Very well", and with that she walks off again. Still confused I look after her, before walking to the toilets.

When I get back to my seat, my back is gone. Panicking I look around until I realise Chan is standing behind me, my bag in his hands. The smile he gives me makes my heart flutter.
"Wanna go?", He still smiles and waits for me to nod. As soon as I did, he grabs my hand and drags me to our new seats.
"The lady is really nice", I say, while placing myself down beside him.
He agrees: "Yeah, that was sweet of her."
Suddenly my mood changes: "But how did Jade find out?"
"My parents probably had to chancel some meetings to bring us to the airport.. maybe through that?"
"Possibly."
Seeing my serious face, he changes the topic: "Did you talk to Rosa about everything?"
"I tried, but she ignored me.. I don't get what happend", frustrated I lay my head on his shoulder and he lets his head rest on top of my head.
"Hey, let's focus on your brother first, alright?"
I take a second to think, before agreeing to him.
"Thanks for being here for me", I smile.
The next second I feel a soft and gentle kiss on my head. The sensation makes me feel safe, so I look up at Chan, who is blushing. With a little chuckle I lay my head down again and close my eyes in hopes to get some rest before we arrive in Paris, the city of love.
