Chapter 34 | The third Date

(Y/n) pov:

Excitedly I wait for Chan to arrive at my house. It's raining outside, making everything feel really cosy. Part of me wants to just stay in and watch Netflix, but I have a mission to accomplish. And for that, I can not be a lazy potato!
Mesmerized I look outside, when I notice Chan's car pulling up. Immediately I walk to the door, grab my back, that has something to drink, clothes to switch into and something to eat inside, and my keys and walk out of the house. Quickly I walk to Chan and ente this car.
"You seem excited", he smiles as a greeting.
"That's because I am!"
"Soo..", gently he grabs my hand, "What are we gonna do today?"
"Someone's curious?", I tease, before revealing what the plans are for today.
"Lasertag? But we're only two people", he says a big confused.
I chuckle: "I know. Maybe it's be fun, when we're just two people."
I try to keep the mood light as he begins to drive us.

After a somewhat long drive in the rain we arrive. As we both leave the car and walk into the building, a few known voices greet us. Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix join us, as we wait for them. I know how much Chan loves his friends and enjoys spending time with them, so I asked some of them, that I usually get along with aswell, to join us.
For Chans expression I can tell he's happy to see them. They all greet each other and Felix greets me with a hug, before we walk further inside.

"We have a reservation. Name, (y/n)", I say to the female worker, who looks through some files.
"Found it. Six people?"
I nod and she continues.
"You can put your bag into lockers and then you'll get you introduction", she smiles, leading us to the changing rooms, that include lockers. Quickly I change into a pair of black leggings and a crop hoodie, that I feel comfortable in. As well as putting my hair into a high ponytail, to have a free face.
In a few minutes the boy are also done and we meet again in the lobby, where a different worker is waiting for us. Nicely he shows us how the equipment works and how to put everything on. When we're done we return to the lobby again.
"In what teams do you wanna play?", The woman who spoke to us before asks.
"Let's do random teams", the boys suggest cheerfully.
Unsure I look to Chan, who walks over to me. Gently he takes my hand, while fate is deciding who I have to face and who my allies are.
"Player 1, 4 and 6 against Player 2, 3 and 5."
So, Felix, Chan and Hyunjin against Han, me and Changbin.
Still unsure I look up at Chan, who is still holding onto my hands and keeps holding onto my hand when we walk inside the room, we will be playing in.
Our hands only separate when we walk to our base, which is, obviously, in separate directions.
When Han, Changbin and I arrive, we look at each other.
"How serious do we play?", Han asks to which Changbin just shrugs.
"I'd say not serious. I mean, we're... Friends after all", at first I wasn't sure if I wanted to say friends, but I did in the end.

The game starts. Carefully we walk alongside each other, trying to not make any sounds. The more it startles us, when Han gets hit.
"Nooo, avenge me!", He yells dramatically, as he walks back to our spawn, to wait for his live to recover.
His overdramatic reaction makes me giggle, as I'm also hit.
"That was rude!", I pout a bit.
"Guess you should have paid more attention", Chan says a bit cocky, making me pout even more, as I also go back to my team's spawn.
And that's how the game kept going. Everything Han, Changbin and I tried to hit them, they would be faster. Being sneaky and hide to get us or play tactical to get us.
The scores are depressing to say the leaste..
The others won with a hug difference.
"We don't even have one point?", I look at the score disappointed, while the others seem more than cocky.
"Why did you play so serious??", I walk up to Chan and Felix, who both seem more than amused with the situation.
"Because we wanted to win?"
"So we're playing serious?", I rais an eyebrow and the Australian boys nod.
"Alright, let's play again. Same teams."
Again we go into the arena into our respective spawns.

The second game begins.
This time we all go our separate ways. Han is again the first one to get shot. And again he has a over dramatic reaction making Changbin giggle, who gets shot the next second.
While all this is happening I sneak into their backline. As soon as I have all three in sign, I shoot them. All three of them seem surprised that I got them.
As they walk into their spawn, I also walk to mine, but stop, when I see the two boys in my team. This time I was with Changbin and Han goes on his own. I concentrate on the sounds around us, when I noticed foodsteps behind us. Quickly I turn around and shoot Felix, who flinches when I do. The same second Chan tries to get us from the front, but Changbin reactions fast enough and shoots him, before Chan has the chance go get either of us. And that's how this game went. A few times Han and Changbin got caught, but I was carefully enough to not be shot once.
When we look at the scores this time, it was much closer, but they did win again. But no one was as good as I was. I have the least deaths and the most kills. So I basically carried my team, but that doesn't matter at all.
While Chan, Felix and Hyunjin are celebrating their win, I walk to my two teammates.
"We did well", I say cheerful, but am not met with the same cheerful attitude.
"But we lost..", they look down. Like their eshamed.
"But we tried our best and had fun. That's more important than winning."
Both give me a small smile, before walking over to their friends.
It's nice to see the five of them this happy. It's like they have no worries at all..
Subconsciously I grab my operlegs, where my scars are, when Chan calls me over. Immediately I let go and walk to them, as we are about to leave.
We all get our bags and change back into our normal clothes.
"I'd say mission accomplished.."
"What?", Chan scares me for a second. I must have thought out loud.
"Oh, nothing."
We both smile at each other, as we walk to his car.
"It stopped raining", I notice, as we get out of the building.
"Yeah you're right.."
Gently Chan grabs my hand, as we walk.
I really love this boy..
