The Boy Born with Everything

"So you brought us here, now what?" Deku asked. Todoroki was leaning against the wall on the opposite side of you and Deku. There was a weird moment of silence before Deku spoke again.

"We should probably eat soon. The cafeteria is gonna be busy," he said. More silence. "Don't you think?" Deku then gulped from the intensity of the silence. You knew why Todoroki was quiet, he was about to say something big and was trying to find out how to say it, or if he should say it at all. Finally, he spoke.

"I was overwhelmed. And it made me break the promise I had made to myself a long time ago," he said, there was a bit more silence. "What promise could he have made to himself?" You thought. Todoroki looked at his left hand and continued, "Ida and Yaoyorozu... Tokoyami and Uraraka... None of them felt it. In that moment, I was the only one who could sense your true power.  It reminded me of something... Experiencing All Might's quirk."

You glanced over to Deku and then back to Todoroki. You hardened your expression and then asked: "Oh, yeah? Why didn't you mention me? I was there, you think I also didn't feel it?"

"I believe that you already knew of the power I'm talking about. I mean, you fought All Might and felt his strength and you were also with us at the USJ, feeling the power of his punches. I think you also saw the power Midoriya has, but you chose not to react to hide something. I'm saying... The power coming from Midoriya felt the same as All Might's," he explained. This caused Deku to tense up. Todoroki then looked up from his hand and looked at Deku.

"Midoriya, tell me. Are you really All Might's secret love child or something?"

This caused you to burst out laughing. Todoroki looked at you annoyed, and then back to Deku, who had a (°_°) expression. "Well, are you?" Todoroki asked.

"No, no way-- that's not it at all. But I guess even if I was, I'd totally say that I wasn't, so you probably won't believe me no matter what, I bet. Anyway, I promise you got the wrong idea," Deku said really fast. He was panicking and you could tell, even though you were laughing your ass off.

"And... Why would you think that about me?" He asked.

"That's not it at all," Todoroki said, quoting Deku, "is interesting wording."

This caused you to stop laughing, as Todoroki was slowly catching on. "It suggests that there is something between you two that you're not supposed to talk about, and the fact that L/N shut up almost confirms it," Todoroki continues to say. This makes Deku more nervous than he previously was, and you're starting to feel a bit nervous as well.

"My father is the hero Endeavour. You two most of heard about him. Which means you two are aware that he's the number two hero. So if you two are connected to the number one hero, All Might, in some way... That would mean... That I have even more reason to beat you two. My old man is ambitious. He aims for the top. He used his power to make a name for himself as a hero. But he was never able to best All Might, so the symbol of peace is living proof of his failure. He's still at it, though, trying to take down All Might. One way or another," Todoroki said in a very serious tone.

"Dear God..." You said quietly. You quickly understood what he meant. Deku, on the other hand, didn't follow.

"I'm not really sure what you're getting at. What are you trying to tell me, Todoroki?" He asked.

Todoroki then looked at Deku. "Have you ever heard of... Quirk marriages?"

"Uh..." Deku said with a slight hint of confusion.
