Y/N's PoV:

"The hero work studies are a more serious version of your internships," Aizawa said. "They entail helping pro agencies on the streets and with investigations. Your teachers and the principal discussed them at the faculty meeting. And we all agree. It's too soon. They should really be canceled."

"What?!" the class asked. You were shocked too, you were actually looking forward to this.

"Aw, but we already met about them!" Kirishima pointed out.

"I guess, when you think about why we had to move into the dorms, it does make sense," Kaminari said, petting Ojiro's tail. Bakugo then jumped up.

"Ha, ha!" Bakugo laughed, overjoyed that nobody could get ahead of him.

"But... Some people think we won't be able to raise strong heroes with that sort of protective outlook. And with that in mind, the compromise is to be selective about participating agencies. So, choose one with a proven track record. Otherwise, you won't be taking part," Aizawa said. Bakugo then froze, defeated.

"Damn it!" he yelled. Now it's your turn to laugh.

"Ha! Suck it Bakugo!" you say to him. He was about to start yelling back, but Aizawa quickly defused the situation. He then dismissed forms to fill out and dismissed the class. You look at the form carefully thinking of who to work with. Iida then walked over to you.

"Hello, L/N," he said.

"Hey Iida," you said.

"Are you gonna do work studies with Manual?" he asks.

"Are you?" you ask.

"No, not right now. I still don't think I'm ready for that. Also, work studies would cut into my academics," Iida explains.

"Makes sense. I'm gonna try and do work studies, but maybe not with Manual. No offense to him, he's a great hero, but judging by my internship there and ignoring the Stain Incident, I don't think it would be best for me. While I am a jack of all trades, I want to focus on combat and Manual seems more like a rescue hero. Also, I want to see more investigation," you explain.

"Investigation?" Iida asks.

"Yeah, like what Batman does. More behind the scenes with active investigations. I didn't get that with Manual. We just went out and looked for trouble basically," you elaborate.

"I see, then will you do your work studies with Batman?" Iida asks.

"No. The old fart won't let me. He wants me to make new connections instead of relying on him or the other Bat Family. Hell soon it'll only be him and Nightwing since Red Hood is going back to the states," you say. You continue to talk to Iida for a bit about potential candidates. Then you mentioned that you could ask All Might to steer you in the right direction. You then left for the faculty office. When you got there, Deku already had his paper filled out.

"Wait you want me to introduce you to Sir Nighteye for the work-study program?" All Might asked.

"Nighteye?" you think to yourself. "Not a bad idea."

"Yes! Since he's one of the few heroes that've directly worked under you, it's a perfect fit!" Deku said rather loud.

"Yeah, All Might, could you do the same for me please?" you ask. He silences Deku and then looks at you. You walk over to Deku.

"So, Sir Nighteye. Who could've put that idea in your head?" he asks the both of you. He then looks at Deku. "No, of course, you wanted to be proactive so you called Gran Torino, didn't you?"

"Yes, sir!" Deku said bowing. He then looks at you.

"You just gave me the idea, originally I was going to ask if you have any good fits for me. But if I went with Nighteye, I could help Deku with his training along the way, and try to keep him out of unnecessary trouble," you say, bowing as well.
