"What is this, boy? Are you ridiculing All Might?" Sir Nighteye said, with slight anger in his voice. "The nerve. What are you doing with your face? Is this a joke to you?"
"Uh, no, I guess not?" Deku said confused and still trying to sound like All Might. You quickly looked around the room and noticed so much All Might merch.
"You attempted this blasphemous excuse of an impression on All Might's former Sidekick? All Might's wrinkles aren't like this at all. You fool," Sir ridiculed, still to Deku's confusion.
"In his early days, his crows' feet were 0.6 centimeters long. From the Silver Age on they were 0.8. These days, even unlicensed merchandise manages to have the correct wrinkles in the correct era. But you don't even know that much?" Sir judges, looking intensely at Deku's face. He's getting oddly close to Deku, and invading his personal space, touching his face, and looking closely into Deku's eyes.
"I don't care for this one bit. You can see yourself out," Sir said, then looked at you. "And what makes you think-"
"The vinegar river incident," Deku said, interrupting. You look at him confused, while Sir's eyes look over to Deku, but he's still facing you.
"Are you not aware of it, sir?" Deku asked. Sir's stare got more intense. Deku then explained that a kid fell into a river and couldn't swim. In his panic, the kid accidentally activated his quirk, which turns water into vinegar. All Might showed up to save the kid, but the vinegar altered his face a bit due to the stinging, and that's the face Deku chose to impersonate earlier.
"I know this rescue," Sir said. "Although it took place before I teamed up with him. And I believe they mentioned it briefly on the widely-run television special entitled A Look Back."
"Yes, I love that show! I know there weren't any villains involved, so some people thought it was a boring save. I'm sure that's why the fans don't talk about it much, but I really like it for some reason! Honestly, I think the best part of the whole thing is the witty responses he gave after being thanked by the kid he rescued," Deku said, nerding out.
"My skin feels ten years younger," Sir quoted.
"That's it! It was the perfect one-liner!" Deku said.
"Now I see. You were just testing me," Sir said accusingly.
"What? Oh, no! It's just that, since All Might is a teacher at my school, I never get the chance to geek out about him. I maybe got a little excited," Deku said in a panic. Sir walked over and pushed up his glasses.
"As I recall, it turned out the child's volatile home life was to blame," Sir said, thinking back. That got you thinking. Your childhood was also volatile, and that's putting it mildly. It caused that kid to accidentally use his quirk, so could something happen to you?
"Nah, I'm better than that," you thought.
"That's right! And that made All Might's words and convictions carry even more weight, I bet!" Deku said. Togata walked over and released Bubble Girl from whatever BDSM machine that is. You thought of helping, but the moment you budged Sir began to glare at you, so you just stood there. Eventually, Deku and Sir stopped talking as Sir walked over to his desk and sat down.
"Interesting. You both want to do a work-study here because you think that doing so will make you stronger," Sir said.
"Yes, sir! Please let me!" Deku says.
"Not really," you say. Sir looks at you.
"I'm plenty strong already. I'm more so looking for guidance on what hero I should be, or if I should even be a hero. While my friends don't think any differently of me after they found out who my father is, the way you began to talk to me before Deku interrupted you suggests that you think less of me because of my father. There were also plenty of news articles that wondered if I should keep attending UA," you explain.
