Overdrive: A MHA x Male Reader Fanfic

Recap: After the USJ incident, UA decided to continue hosting the Sports Festival. The UA Sports Festival is a huge event where classes compete against each other. This year's sports festival consisted of an obstacle race, then a cavalry battle, and finally a 1v1 tournament against the top four teams during the cavalry battle. During the intermission between the cavalry battle and the tournament, Shoto Todoroki explained his motives and some of his past to Izuku Midoriya and Y/N L/N. During Todoroki's explanation, Y/N started to have flashbacks to his mother's death and the torture at the hands of AFO, causing him to have an anxiety attack. After being comforted by a new friend, Mina Ashido, Y/N would watch and participate in the tournament, winning his first fight against Nemuidesu Isshiki after unveiling his new ultimate attack, Platinum Barrage. Y/N would go on to win the rest of his fights and during the finals, finished his fight against Bakugo with a short Platinum Barrage. After the festival, Students got two days off from school. Y/N spent his first-day bonding with some of his classmates, and the second day resting. Now Y/N returns to school with more hardships to overcome along the way...

Y/N L/N, AKA The Beyond Hero: Overdrive quirk: Genetic All For One. Allows multiple quirk DNA strands to be added to the user's genome. Can have an unlimited amount of quirks but to avoid unwanted attention and to challenge himself, Y/N only uses six quirks. Those quirks are:

Titan Shifting: Once the user inflicts harm upon themselves and has the intention of shifting, they will turn into a massive humanoid creature known as a Titan. The downside to this is that once the user is taken out of the form, they can't use the quirk again (or in Y/N's case he can't use any of his quirks) until after a few minutes.

Half Cold, Half Hot: As the name implies, it is two quirks rolled into one. The user's left side can create fire, while the right side can create ice, however, it is difficult to use both sides in tandem with each other and it is hard to create complex structures with the ice. The user can also overheat or get frost over if they use only one side for too long. Y/N got this quirk from Shoto Todoroki during the cavalry battle.

Erasure: This allows the user to prevent quirks from being used just by looking at someone. However, this quirk causes dry eye, and if the user manages to blink then the erasure is undone. Y/N got this quirk from Aizawa before the start of the cavalry battle.

Super-Strength: As the name implies, it allows the user to become stronger than the average human. This has no obvious drawbacks. There is an evolution to this quirk, however. The evolution allows the user to turn part (or all) of their body into platinum, allowing for extra durability. However, there is limited use for this evolution, as it is very draining on the user's body. In Y/N's case, the drain is greater when using more quirks. Y/N got this quirk from an old friend from middle school named Kai Testuhone.

Super-Speed. As the name implies, it allows the user to have greater speed than the average human. This Super-Speed also increases the metabolism of its user, so if the user must eat more. There are no obvious drawbacks that could be exploited during battle.

Regeneration: This allows the user to regenerate their body. The downside is that the user can't move while regenerating.

If needed, Y/N can activate multiple quirks at once. He calls this "Overdrive" and the more quirks he uses, the greater strain on the body.

Family and Friends:

Bruce Wayne, AKA The Batman: Bruce Wayne is the CEO of a worldwide company called Wayne Industries. Bruce also fights crime during the night as Batman. Bruce is the adoptive father to Y/N and most of the "Bat Family." Bruce's quirk is Shadow Manipulation. It allows him to manipulate shadows. This quirk is strongest at night and almost nonexistent during the day. Because of this, most people think he is quirkless.
