You stand in Nighteye's with Nighteye, Togata, Bubble Girl, and Deku. It's the first day of your work-study. Sir begins to brief you.

"Today, we will be doing patrols and surveillance. We'll split up into two teams. I'll be with Bubble Girl, and Mirio, you're with L/N and Midoriya," Sir says.

"Surveillance. Anything we need to look out for in particular? Besides the usual bad guys?" you ask. Nighteye pulls out a file.

"Shie Hassaikai is a small organized crime syndicate," Sir says and rotates the file so you can read it. "That's Kai Chisaki. As the young head of the group, he's its second-in-command, and he's been behaving strangely lately."

You look closer at the file and take a good look at his face. Sir continues speaking.

"That plague mask is his trademark," Sir said.

"Creepy. I thought there wasn't much trouble with organized crime these days, since the police know who they are and monitor their movements," Deku says.

"It's been that way since the big groups broke up. But this Chisaki guy is starting to gather them together again, though we don't know why. The details are unclear, but we do know he made contact with the League of Villains recently," Bubble Girl says. You look at her, sort of surprised.

"Unfortunately, we don't have solid proof linking him to anything criminal yet. Hassaikai operates in a legal gray area that's close to black, but we can't treat them like villains. Our objective is to tail them and find out what they're up to. Be careful not to arouse any suspicion," Sir said, briefing you and Deku on the situation.

"Yes, sir!" you, Deku, Togata, and Bubble Girl said.

The group then split up. You were walking down a street with Deku and Togata. People were recognizing Deku from the Sports Festival, while some thought you were Batman.

"This is sort of nerve-wracking," Deku says.

"You'll get used to it," you say.

"What gives? You went out on patrol during your internship, didn't you?" Togata asks Deku. "Though, I guess I don't blame you for being shaken after what went down."

"Oh, no. It's not that. I just kinda missed out on learning some of the basics, so..." Deku began to trail off.

"Yeah?  Huh, that must be strange. Ah, don't you worry. Sir and Bubble are the ones who are actually watching the target today, so I can teach you all about patrol duty. We'll get you up to snuff," Togata says. While he was doing this, you were keeping your eye out for any criminals.

"Just watch and learn, my friend!" Togata said and did this weird dance. Suddenly, he remembers something.

"Hey, we forgot something! Our hero names! We should know each others, right?" He asks the both of you.

"Oh yeah," you say.

"Oh, yeah, yeah, totally, I'm Deku," Deku says.

"Deku? Like deck? That's weird," Togata then realizes something and turns to you. "Wait, you've been calling him by his hero name this entire time?"

"Well, it's more like a nickname in our class. I only call him that because I'm too lazy to say Izuku or Midoryia," you explain. "Oh, and I'm The Beyond Hero: Overdrive."

"'Kay, well, I'm Lemillion. For the number of people I'll save," Lemillion says, pointing to himself. "You know. Can't save 'em all. But I can at least shoot for saving 1,000,000 instead, so that's what I'm doing!"

He then turns to face ahead of the group. "When we put on our costumes and start hittin' the streets, that's when we become heroes! So don't let your guard down, Deku!"
