This chapter has some dark themes, please skip it if you can't handle it.

Life. It's an interesting thing. The number of possibilities that open up when someone is born. Some are good, and that person might become the greatest hero of all time. Some end up leading normal lives. Others take on a dark path of villainy. This is the story of Saiko Ferobei, and how life dealt him the worst cards.

Fifteen years ago:

Cries were heard throughout the hospital room. A woman with black hair and blue eyes held her baby in her hands. She then looked at today's date, October 13. The doctor then cut the umbilical cord. The woman declared that her newborn son is named Saiko, after her great-grandfather. She stayed at the hospital for a few days until she was finally discharged. When she got home and opened the door, her husband, Rochi, was sitting at the end of the table.

"Hello, dear," the woman said.

"Don't give me that shit woman," Rochi said angrily

"W-what do you mean?" the woman asked scared.

"Who's the father, huh? Who is he!?" Rochi yelled.

"Y-you are," the woman said, fear. Saiko started to cry.

"Don't you dare lie to me! I never wanted kids! I know this bastard isn't mine, so who did you cheat on me with!?" Rochi screamed and knocked over a vase.

"I- I don't know," she said ashamed.

"You don't know? YOU DON'T KNOW?! HOW MANY MEN DID YOU SLEEP WITH?" Rochi yelled. He got up and walked closer. "AND SHUT THAT BRAT UP!"

The woman then started to try and calm Saiko down, fearing for his safety. She's never seen him this angry, and she then answered his question.

"I didn't sleep with anyone," the woman said back trembling.

"BULLSHIT!" Rochi said and slapped his wife. The woman began to cry and Rochi just walked away.

What that woman said was true, she never did sleep with anyone, at least not willingly. Although she also doesn't remember ever being raped. The unfortunate truth, however, is that she was raped, by a man named All For One. Four years went by and during those years, Rochi continued down into a descent of rage and alcoholism. He would continue to beat his wife, and when she wasn't around, he'd beat down Saiko.

The scene then changes to Saiko at a funeral with his extended family. The person who had died was Saiko's mom, Rina Furobei. She had been diagnosed with cancer and with the constant abuse she's been putting up with, she just couldn't take it anymore and hanged herself. She was smart however and sent Saiko to stay with her sister for the weekend. Rochi didn't even attend her funeral.

Rina had a nephew named Haruto Furobei, with whom she was very close too. When Haruto, who is twelve, found out that his aunt killed herself, he immediately blamed Rochi. Shortly after the funeral, he snuck into Rochi's house and using his quirk Duality, pierced Rochi with a beam of light energy, and then crushed him with a wall of darkness. After that, Haruto ran away and ended up joining the Shie Hassaikai.

Saiko now lives with his aunt, but with everything that is happening, with Rina killing herself, Haruto running away and killing Rochi, along with kids at school making fun of Saiko, he ended up running away. Saiko lived on the streets for two years until eventually, a man in a suit with white hair and red eyes found him.

"Say kid, what are you doing out here in the streets, all by yourself?" the man asks.

"I ran away two years ago," Saiko said.

"Why's that?"

"I just couldn't handle it. My mom killed herself and my cousin ran away and killed my dad."

"Oh, I did hear about that, so I take it your name is Furobei?"

"Yeah, Saiko Furobei."

"Why don't you come with me? It's certainly better than living out in the streets," the man suggested. Saiko didn't know why, but he felt a connection with this man, and since he was very hungry Saiko agreed.

And so, for the next six years, Saiko lived under this man. The man revealed to Saiko that he was his father, All For One. Saiko didn't feel hate for him and was glad that Rochi wasn't actually his father. Saiko swore to him that he would repay him for his kindness. All For One smiled at this and began to train Saiko on how to effectively use his quirk.

(A/N: So I don't know if quirks are officially grouped into the three different classifications or if that's just what the fandom uses, and I don't know how many people use this classification system or not. I'm not trying to insult anyone's intelligence, but for clarification,

Emitter-types are quirks that emit an effect, energy, or force. An effect would be something like healing, while a force could be One For All and energy could be Explosion, for example

Transformation-types are quirks that temporally change someone's appearance and stats. An example would be Hardening. Y/N's and Saiko's Overdrive forms do not count as transformation-type quirks.

Mutation-types are quirks that have a permanent change to one's body and usually appear around birth. An example would be Tsu's frog or Kai Testuhone's Platinum Bones (which I will elaborate on why later))

Speaking of which, Saiko's quirk is called Kamui. It allows him to copy people's quirks by looking at them. He can't copy multiple people's quirks. How Kamui works is that when Saiko uses it, a rift appears in front of one of his eyes. If Saiko wants to copy an emitter-type quirk, then he needs the rift that comes from his right eye to absorb the energy from the quirk and recreate it for himself. (ex: if todoroki used fire to attack, Saiko's right rift would absorb the fire and be able to reproduce Half Hot, Half Cold). With the right rift, Saiko can also absorb the effects of a quirk and be able to reproduce it. (Ex: Stain uses Blood Curdle on Deku, the right rift absorbs the effect, curing the paralysis, and being able to reproduce Blood Curdle.)

Saiko's left eye can absorb transformation-type and mutant-type quirks. When he wants to absorb a quirk, a larger rift will appear from the left eye and suck in the user. The user doesn't stay there forever, just long enough for the quirk to be copied. After the quirk has been copied, the user is spat back out of the large rift. Saiko has no control over the speed of the copying and has to stop whatever he's doing for the user to leave the rift. (Ex: the left rift absorbs Kirishima and begins to copy his quirk. No matter what Kirishima does, he can't leave until the process is complete. Once it is, the left rift opens and forces Kirishima to leave. This could be disadvantageous for Saiko, and Kirishima could leave the rift during the middle of a battle.) While he can absorb multiple quirks and people at once, the copying process doesn't start on all of them, only on the first one to enter. He can also only absorb people with mutations and transformations. So he couldn't absorb Bakugo or Todoroki and get their quirks that way.

When All Might and the other heroes raided All For One's main compound and rescued Y/N, Saiko was in a different facility with Shigaraki and AFO's doctor. So he was largely unaffected by the raid. Saiko would lay low until the L.o.V attack on the USJ, where he first meets AFO's other son Y/N L/N.

Hello everyone, thanks for reading. 100 votes. Never thought I would ever get it, hell I didn't even expect one vote. This chapter also celebrates the 50th chapter of this story. I would also like to thank Laughyloff for giving me the idea for Haruto's quirk. And when I say "gave me the idea" I mean he commented on one of my earlier chapters and told me about the quirk. Unfortunately at that point, I already had a quirk in mind for Saiko, but I didn't have one for Haruto. Anyway, thanks for the 100 votes! Your guys' support means everything to me! Peace!
