Overdrive: A MHA x Male Reader Fanfic

Character Info (Season 4.5)

Recap: Y/N and Deku had signed up for Work studies and went under Sir Nighteye, All Might's former sidekick. Shortly after, they went on patrol to stake out the leader of the Shie Hassaikaim, Kai Chisaki, AKA Overhaul. Sir Nighteye and another sidekick (Bubble Girl) staked out the Hassaikai's main stronghold while Y/N, Deku, and Lemillion (AKA Mirio Togata) patrolled the area. They unexpectedly run into Overhaul himself after his supposed daughter, Eri, ran into Y/N's leg. Immediately, Y/N knew something was up due to Eri's fear. He wanted to do something but couldn't. Eri ended up returning with Overhaul, much to the dismay of Y/N. They reported what happened to Sir. They then went back to school. A meeting happened where the Nighteye agency and a bunch of others came together to discuss the plan. They planned the raid once they effectively knew where Eri was being held. Y/N and Lemillion ended up going ahead of everyone else to get to Eri sooner. Some goons got in their way, and Lemillion told Y/N to go on ahead. Overhaul then distracted Y/N by revealing he had his sister, S/N L/N. Overhaul went ahead while S/N fought Y/N. Y/N won without hurting his sister and told Deku telepathically to expect S/N. Lemillion caught up, and they continued after Overhaul. They caught up, and a fight broke out. Y/N fought Haruto and Saiko, while Lemillion fought Overhaul. Unfortunately, Lemillion got shot with a quirk-erasing drug and lost his quirk. Y/N, being weakened from his fight, didn't have much time to react, as he was stabbed by a mighty pillar and died. This is when Deku and the other heroes show up. Eri gets away, and Nighteye fights Overhaul, while the Batfamily fights Saiko and Haruto. Y/N had a weird out-of-body experience where a godly figure named Primus revived him, told him Eri is his niece, and changed Y/N's Genetic All For One by adding a quirk called Instinct. This quirk automatically catalogs Y/N's quirks and tells him the right one for any situation. After being revived, he has an impressive fight with Overhaul, who was power-boosted by Saiko. Sir had also been stabbed in a similar way to Y/N. Overhaul was eventually defeated after Y/N merged Eri's quirk with his and gained a new form. Overdrive at 100% plus Rewind on himself, called Hyperdrive. After the fight, Y/N had used up all of his energy and passed out, later awakening a few days after the battle. Now, Y/N waits for his sister and niece to be released from the hospital.

Character info:

Y/N L/N (Wayne) AKA Overdrive: You guys already know his story, so instead of just repeating facts from older character bios, I'll add any new ability or change to Y/N. These will be specific, and not as broad as the story recap.
     -Physical Changes: During his fight with Overhaul, Y/N had the opportunity to sculpt a new body for himself. He mostly kept it the same but changed his natural hair color and eye color to [H/C] and [E/C] respectively. This also got rid of all of his current scars. He also now has a horn, since he merged his quirk with Eri's rewind. This horn can either look like Eri's or you, The Reader, can change it to be a different horn.
     -Quirk Changes: Y/N's Genetic All For One changed to Overdrive, after merging with a custom quirk Instinct, and Eri's quirk, Rewind. The new abilities automatically catalog Y/N's quirks and tell him which to use, although the suggestion can be ignored. Rewind is largely unknown. It can be used in conjunction with Overdrive to create Hyperdrive, but that's about it. Eri hasn't been shown to be able to use her quirk on herself, while Y/N can. There may be some differences. New quirks (and by that I mean it's been shown for the first time, not that Y/N recently got it) that aren't merged and simply copied are as follows: Decay, Master Healing, Blink, Glitch, Orbit, Merge, Foresight.

Friends and Family:

As I mentioned earlier. You all know this stuff already. So, instead of just regurgitating information, I'll add any new changes to a character, or any new characters here. Example:

Ejiro Kirishima AKA Red Riot: After taking advice from All Might, Kirishima developed a new transformation called Unbreakable. Pushing the limits of his quirk, he can become insanely hard and have buffed durability. If you wanna be petty about this, Kirishima ripped off Y/N's Overdrive, since they are the same thing on paper. Pushing your body and quirk(s) to achieve a new form. Very different in practice, but in theory, they are more or less the same.

Do you understand where I'm going here? I'm not going to be counting any changes to a fighting style, like Deku's Shoot-Style. If Deku has a bigger change later, then I'll cover shoot style (if I remember).

Miriro Togata AKA Lemillion: Lemillion's quirk is Permeation, which lets him phase through anything. He lost this quirk during his fight with Overhaul. Y/N met him sometime before the UA Sports Festival, but they hadn't really talked until Y/N and Deku started their work studies under Sir Nighteye.

S/N L/N: S/N is Y/N's twin sister. She looks almost exactly like their mother. She was taken by All For One at the same time Y/N was, but they both had at least been heavily drugged and eventually forgot about each other. From what Y/N could tell, she has the same quirk he does (at least at the time), Genetic All For One. However, if that was the cause, All For One wouldn't have let her go, so it must be different somehow. Y/N and S/N reunited during the raid on the Hassaikai.

Eri: Eri is Y/N's niece. Her quirk is Rewind, and the current understanding of it is that she can de-age someone to nothingness. The effect can be stopped if Eri's quirk is deactivated, although Erasure is needed for that as Eri can't control her quirk. Y/N also has Rewind merged with his, but he's only been shown to be able to use it on himself, which Eri hasn't been shown to do. They first met when she escaped Overhaul, and again during the raid on the Hassaikai.

I think I mentioned everyone new... And I think I covered every new ability/quirk for Y/N and friends...
