Third person's POV
Not too far from where Lisa and Somi stayed, were two other girls on their way of getting to know each other, too. But unlike the former, Jennie and Seulgi maintained a proximity of 3 feet throughout the night.
Seulgi drove into a fine dining restaurant. They both went down in the driveway to let the valet park the car. The receptionist let them in as soon as he found Seulgi's name in the reservations list. Talk about a well-planned dinner. Jennie said to herself.. Her date seemed to have thought of everything tonight since they were immediately served with a bottle of wine and an appetizer.
"I hope you don't mind, Jen. I have already ordered for tonight." Seulgi, who was sitting across Jennie, said with a proud smile. She wanted to impress Jennie in all ways that she could. And this is a start – take her to a nice restaurant which serves good food. Whatever the next steps are, Seulgi is still trying to figure that out.
"So... how was your dance practice earlier, Jen?" Seulgi asked after tasting the wine in her glass.
"It was good! Lisa actually helped a lot. She taught me some of the choreo and fortunately, I got it! She really is a great dancer, huh." Jennie said while eating her salad.
"Oh, Lisa was there?" Seulgi asked again, with a creased forehead.
"Yeah, we both came in early. She was there to meet with Elite."
Seulgi just nodded. "Right. I can't wait to see your performance though. I'll be there shouting your name for sure. Hmm... Whose music are you dancing to by the way?"
"It's a mix actually. But basically, more on Bieber."
Seulgi's eyes widened. But before she could speak, the waiter served their next dish. She continued when the waiter left.
"That's gotta be good! I love JB! It's surprising Lisa was able to stand the song when she was teaching you huh."
"Does she hate Bieber that much?" Jennie asked while trying to slice the steak with her fork and knife.
"God, yes! She said she can't give him a chance anymore. Not after he left Selena. And Selena has been Lisa's childhood crush!"
"So that's why! That's why she said she doesn't like the artist!"
"Hahaha, she told you that, too?"
"Sort of. Can't be convinced, either!"
They continued eating while throwing questions in between, "How's your training by the way? When's the next game?" it was Jennie's turn to ask.
"Semis will begin next week. Hopefully, we win that game to get the twice-to-beat advantage."
"I wish you luck, then." Jennie gave her a smile.
Seulgi can't help but be starstruck by the person in front of her. "You have the sweetest smile."
Jennie took a drink, obviously blushing with Seulgi's compliment.
And the latter blushed, too. "I said that aloud, didn't I?"
Jennie nodded with her lips pursed.
They continued talking. Jennie noticed that Seulgi moved her seat a little closer to her, still not crossing the proximity of 3 feet. She didn't mind. After finishing the meal, they planned to finish the bottle of wine, too. Jennie's a light drinker when it comes to wine so she tried her best not to drown herself. Seulgi, however, is more comfortable now after downing her third glass right before Jennie's second.
Jennie found her date amusing. The latter made jokes that are super corny, she had to laugh. She told her childhood stories with Lisa and Jisoo. She liked how the conversation went smoothly despite her getting nervous as this was her first time "dating" a girl. Seulgi made her feel like it was hanging out with a friend, which was what she totally needed to get her nerves out. Though she won't lie, Seulgi tried to flirt here and there.
