JENNIE POV
"I think I'll give it a shot."
"What are you talking about?"
Rosie and I are already in the classroom after getting our readings from the dean's office.
"Seulgi."
"Ooooh. What changed your mind?"
"I wasn't decided before. But Lisa and I got to talk, and I think she made a point."
"What did you and Lisa talk about?"
"Why so many questions, Rosie?"
"Duh? Best friend here? I just wanna know what Lisa said that made you change your mind. The last time we talked about it, you said you weren't sure if you like girls. Now you're giving Seulgi a chance. What changed?"
"And I'm still not sure. But why not get out and see what's out there, right? At the end of the day, it should be between two people, not necessary just between a guy and a girl. Again, I'm still not sure if I like girls. I'll just see it for myself."
"Hmm. Okay. I get it, but you still haven't told me what Lisa was doing at our house after the party."
"Oh. She, sort of, accompanied me home?"
"How come it wasn't Seulgi?"
"She was too drunk, and her teammates had to bring her to their dorm. We didn't see her before we left. Oh shoot. I forgot to tell you. Josh tried to talk to me outside the club. I kind of snapped and I dragged Lisa. Then we ended up at the house."
"Speaking of..." Jennie followed where Rosie was looking.
Third Person POV
Jennie saw Lisa and Somi outside the room. I thought she's from a different course. Jennie thought. But as soon as Lisa entered the room,
"Lisa, here." Jennie called.
Chaeng raised an eyebrow, are they friends now?
Lisa spoke as she walked to where the girls are seated, "Yes, Jennie?"
"Here, I saved you a seat." She tapped the chair beside her.
"Oh...kay... That's a first. You need anything from me, Ms. Kim?" Lisa raised her eyebrow as she sat.
"What are you saying? I just thought you'd appreciate me saving a seat for you."
"So, is this the part where I should say thanks? Hahaha. Thanks, Ms. Kim."
"Whatever. By the way Lisa, I thought about what you said when-"
"Is this about Justin Bieber? 'Cause I swear Jennie, you're just wasting your time."
"Can you let me finish first?"
"Fine, sorry. You were saying?"
"I thought of giving it a try."
Lisa's face was blank. Try what? "Oh... you mean, Kang? Oh. Wow. Really? Did I pressure you too much?"
"No, I think you made valid points and how will I know if I don't give it a shot, right?"
"There you go! I haven't spoken to Kang since the party, but I'll meet with her after this class."
Their professor came in and the class has started. Jennie and Lisa didn't talk since.
Halfway through the class, the professor had a special announcement.
"I won't be around in the coming weeks, so I'll be giving you an assignment – a mini thesis. Since I know all of you are busy with the college week, this will be submitted in a month's time. Your seatmate shall be your pair." All the students were looking left and right to make sure who their partners will be. "You choose your own topic, as long as it is related to the history and economics of Seoul. Submit the pairings and chosen topics by tomorrow at 8am via email, and I will review it. Late submission won't be accepted. Again, you have a month to complete this, Ok? Dismissed. "
