JENNIE's POV

"What do you mean we can't go?!"

Rosie and I were talking to the ground crew who just announced that our flight was cancelled because of a blizzard.

"Don't you have other flights later today? Tonight?" Rosie asked.

"I'm sorry ma'am. But all flights are cancelled today. We still have to get clearance from the management and the weather agency if it's already safe to travel. In the meantime, we can guarantee you an overnight stay at the nearest hotel while we get updates."

"We... We don't need a hotel. Just keep us posted please. Thank you." Rosie said to the lady before we walked back to the seats in the waiting area. The airport was chaotic. Good thing we were able to grab a space where she and I can talk.

"So... what do we do now?" I asked her.

"I guess we're both going nowhere." She answered with a tone of disappointment. "I thought I could experience a little LA sunlight at least."

"Who's gonna tell them?" I held her hand and we both deeply sighed.

"Let me. They're expecting us." Rosie stood up and went to look for a space with fewer people.

It's not that I badly wanted to be with my parents, but I love celebrating Christmas. And Korea isn't as festive as in LA. Like also what my bestfriend said, a little sunlight wouldn't hurt. But by the looks of how the snowstorm is... we might not be able to leave Seoul in the next five days.

Rosie came back to our seats. "They both said they'll try to travel here instead."

"What? Even my parents?" I was surprised 'cause it's been a while since they have visited. The last time they were in Seoul was when Rosie and I moved here. They checked the house and the university we got into. But it's usually us who go to LA since both our parents have company to run to.

"I think so. But I told them the weather's so bad right now so it might not be possible to travel for a week.."

"Huh. I guess it's gonna be just us for Christmas." I huffed.

Rosie looked at me and pursed her lips. "Yeah. Looks like it."

"Why don't I get a cab so we can get home?" I offered.

"I don't think you can, honey. Look at that line! We'll be lucky if we make it at home by Christmas. And that's three days ahead."

"So we're not just stuck in Korea. We're actually stuck in the airport. This isn't exactly what I had in mind." I felt the frustration start to build up in me.

"Hmmm. I have an idea. Let me just make a call." She stood up again and left me in a sea of people who were stuck in the airport, too.

I decided to send a message to my parents, asking them if they will, indeed, travel to Seoul. I went to Instagram after and saw a post from Lisa putting an empty box over Jisoo's head. These dorks, really. I took a selfie and sent it over.

I was surprised when I heard my phone beeped. Lisa replied to my message.
