JENNIE's POV

Lisa was acting strange all throughout the class. Maybe she was just tired and sleepy like she said. I hope she can get a full rest and feel better.

Rosie just accompanied me in the library while she was waiting for Jisoo. She couldn't wait to tell her about the slumber party she had been planning since the weekend. Meanwhile, I am here 'cause I got assigned to create an article about the College of Business week for the University Paper, I had to interview people who were involved, too.

I immediately thought of Lisa. I planned to highlight her in my article. I was sure she'll give me an interview. Unless she gets busy with all her make-up projects, but I can help her out.

I was starting with the draft when I thought of getting the University history book. I could start off by saying how the college of business week was established and why the celebration became significant to the university.

And where's the best place to find the University history book? The library. Exact location? I wasn't sure. The librarian wasn't around so I looked at every shelf in the History section. But I couldn't find it. The only part I haven't checked was the one at the farthest side of the library. It's where most students hide and sleep. I never tried. Rosie just told me.

I saw some students whose backs were leaned on the wall. dozed off. It looked like they were actually reading since they were holding books but with both eyes shut. I could only laugh in my mind.

It should be here. I thought to myself, but unlike in the other rows, I could hear murmurs as I came nearer the stack of books. I lost focus on finding what I have been looking for, instead, my thoughts were now on the whispers by people from the last row of the History section.

I kind of regret being curious where the giggles were coming from.

I saw two girls leaning on each other, holding each other's faces, and cupping each other... everywhere. They kept whispering closely to each other, not minding where they were, or who could see them.

I would've let it pass, if only I didn't recognize these people in front of me. I froze on the spot. But I guess I made my presence felt when I slowly took a step back.

Seulgi turned her face and our eyes met. Her eyes that used to disappear when she smiles were now fully open. The other girl was Irene. She turned around and looked at me, too. But unlike Seulgi, she held the other girl's face, pushing it to her. The latter was resisting.

I couldn't take what I was seeing. I needed to get out of this place! I walked faster, almost running towards Rosie who had her earphones on and was surprised when I grabbed my bag on the table.

"Rosie let's go!"

"What? Why?" I love my best friend but I am annoyed at her right now for asking too many questions.

Little did I know, Seulgi was running after me. And because I was waiting for Rosie to fix her stuff, Seulgi was able to catch-up.

She held my arm, "Jennie. Let me explain."

"Rosé, I said let's go!" I almost yelled, forgetting where I was.

"Sssshhhh!" Everybody else in the library said. I didn't care if I was loud. Only thing that mattered was to get out of the library and get away from this jerk.

Rosie finished packing her things and pulled my hand away from Seulgi. Did she know?

Apparently, she saw Irene running after Seulgi. And she instantly understood.

I walked faster out of the library with Rosie chasing after me.

"Jen! Hey, wait for me!" She called.

We were out and passed through corridors, bumping into every student coming our way. I didn't realize we were already in the quadrangle in just a minute.
