THIRD PERSON'S POV
The day Lisa had both been waiting for and been dreading for already came. It was the night of the dance competition. She was nervous as hell about what would be the outcome of the whole program. She had been going to the org office to discuss any changes with Irene and back to the auditorium where the groups were practicing.
Lisa had already seen the performance of all the five competing teams and she thought it would be a close fight. Everybody had their own advantages and she was sure it would be hard for the judges to decide.
The event will begin at 5 in the afternoon and will be held at the university's amphitheater. Irene wanted every event to be the center of attention and an open space made sense since everyone can hear the music from the powerful speakers they rented out, plus the stage lights itself was already an invite to everyone who sees it.
By 1 pm, all the participants were preparing for the program and Lisa was starting to feel anxious. What if it rains? What if somebody gets injured, what if nobody comes to watch? She was sure that they'll have at least 2 audience members since she made Jisoo and Seulgi promise to be at the event early so they can grab seats.
The tent allotted to the participants was chaotic. Shirts scattered on the floor, students doing last minute changes on their costumes, those competing were doing their make-ups or putting on face paint for additional effect.
Lisa saw Elite DT who were wearing shirts printed with their group name and were styled differently. She approached Somi who was all glammed up and was chatting with her friends.
"Nice costume! Good to see you followed the restrictions." Lisa teased as she scanned Somi from head to toe. The latter flipped her hair proudly.
"You reminded us about our costumes since the first time we talked. I guess it got stuck in our heads." Somi smiled teasingly. She looked around the tent where everybody was rambling and continued, "Looks like the event's gonna be a success."
Lisa exhaled loudly. "I'll believe that once we're all done. Uhh, Somi?"
The tall girl looked at her but didn't speak. "Do you want to have dinner tonight?"
"Hmmm. I don't know, Lisa. I'll have to think about it." Somi acted so serious Lisa wasn't sure if she was joking.
"Of course. Sure. I just thought that, maybe I can make it up to you? After all, you were a huge help for making this happen."
Somi rolled her eyes and chuckled. "You really know how to get people, don't you?"
Lisa just smiled innocently. "I'm... I-"
Somi looked down and smiled, too. "No? Maybe you just know how to get me, then."
It was so soft it was almost audible. "I'll take that as a yes."
Their moment was cut-off when her co-member called her, "LISA! WE HAVE TO TEST THE SPEAKERS NOW!"
"I have to get going. I'll meet you at the parking lot later. Alright? See you!"
Lisa hurriedly went out to the lights and sounds system to ensure everything was working. An hour before the event started, the speakers were already playing inviting music. Lisa went out of the tent to check if they indeed have an audience and it was packed! She saw her friends in the front seats and they waved at each other.
LISA'S POV
30 minutes before the event, I could almost pass out. This was the first event that I officially handled and I may not be as competitive as Irene, but I don't like to fail this, too. I had been going in and out of the tent to check multiple times if all the participants were ready. I was around until I remembered I also had to fix myself. I immediately pulled a chair and sat in front of the mirror. I tried to tie my hair but wasn't fully content about it.
