Lisa's POV

This class has always been my favorite. The professor is everything but boring, she makes the lectures so easy to understand, and my classmates are accommodating for whatever questions I have, considering I am a transferee. Yes, I shifted from another course, no, I did not fail. I just felt I'll do better here. Hopefully, my intuition is correct. I am not after the grades but somehow, I want to do well.

The class was about to end when I noticed Seulgi was already outside.

How come Kang is early? We don't have to meet until 4pm.

I went to her as soon as I got dismissed.
"Did you really miss me that much? Why are you early? Let's go and wait-" I was cutoff because she hurriedly went to Jennie Kim.

"Lis, just a sec... Hi Jennie! Uhm, remember we're group mates with Bam on Eng02? Here's your copy of the readings and he wants us to do chapters 3 and 4. Are you free today? Uh, I actually want to do it soon so we can exchange inputs, before, uhm, the deadline." Seulgi said shyly.

Aaaah and here I thought she came here for me! Tsk. She's been crushing on Jennie since the start of the 2nd semester and even asked me - more on bothering me, to be her wingman.Jennie and I are classmates in a few subjects, and her friend is sort of my friend, Rosie Park. I already told Seulgi to quit it. Jennie's quite popular in our course. So, yes, a lot of rivals. I also think she's seeing a guy named Josh from the other class. But Kang being Kang... she wouldn't listen.

Rosie or Chaeng as most of us call her, and I are casual. She and I were paired up last term for a research. We didn't grow close though. We talk mostly about the project but nothing too personal. But she is okay as a person, though... I think.

I was walking behind them while they were discussing what to do.

"Oh, uhh, yeah, thanks for these. How did you know I was here?" Jennie asked. Let's see how this girl comes up with an excuse.

"Uhm. I- uhh. I know you're in the same class with Manoban."

Oh this bitch used me.

Jennie gave her a questioned look "Manob- oh, Lisa. right."

"Jen, We'll go ahead. I'll see you in the auditorium? I'll be with Yeri. Hey, Seulgi!"

Kang seemed to forget that Jennie is with her friends.

"Hi Chaeng! Nice to see you!
So, what do you think Jen?"

"Chaeng, wait for me. Uhm, sorry Seulgi, we have rehearsals for the college week. I was thinking to do this over the weekend actually. Its not due until next Tuesday, is it? Sorry. Uhm, I'll just message you and Bam once I finish the chapters or if I have questions alright? I really have to go. Thanks again!"

"Oh... so you're the other class. You guys surely practice early, huh. Hm sure. No worries, Jen! I'll work on my own then let's compare notes. Take care, yeah? Bye Rosie!"

She waited for Jennie and her friends to go before she went back to me and walked by my side.

I gave her an eye. "Work on research my ass. You were obviously making a move on her! You even used me as your excuse. Tss. I've been telling you to stop stalking Jennie!"

"And I've been telling you to be my wingman - woman, person, whatever. You gotta help me, Manoban."

"Look, Jennie and I are as plain as acquaintances. Yes, she's friends with Chaeng but when we were doing the research, Jennie was rarely there. Tsk. Let's just go and wait for Jisoo. Oh, and you should start working on your research so you can compare notes!" I teased Seulgi. The hell she will do her task daysss before the submission. She'll do it, sure, but definitely last minute. She loves cramming. She says she can think way better."

An hour passed and we met with Jisoo in a gazebo somewhere in the university.

"Manoban, have you gotten the new released vinyls? Went to Wrap shop last night but its all sold out!" Jisoo said while copying notes from her book.

"You should've said you couldn't take care of it last week. I would've reserved one for you, but yeah, mine's coming in today!"

Seulgi sat down beside me with her hot tea, "Here we go again with your collections. I honestly think its a waste of money. We have spotify and itunes. it's all digital! We even have Youtube. Why do you keep on buying those when you can hear the exact same thing!"

Jisoo dropped her book and turned to Seulgi, "Kang! stop saying its a waste of money! This is just the same with your sticker collection back then."

"Exactly! I was SO young back then. How much does every vinyl costs? And its not like you're getting brand new vinyls. I don't really understand."

"Wow, coming from a collector whose stickers were worth thousands." Jisoo immediately answered back.

I kept laughing because Jisoo won't back down.

"Alright, enough." I said after taking a sip of my hot coffee. "Kang, we both like music, you like trash. Period."

Offended with what I said, Seulgi acted like she's hurt.

"The fck. Bieber's not a trash! My baby's too good looking to be called trash. And his music is so catchy. You just don't like him 'cause he's your all time crush's ex! HA!"

We kept bickering. This is how we often spend our time whenever we're together. Usually in my apartment. Seulgi stays in a dorm since she's a student athlete, while Jisoo stays with her family. Yes, we argue but we don't fight. We just agree to disagree.

"So who's this girl Kang has been trying to befriend again? Jennie? Who is she? How did you know her?"

Since Jisoo is from another course, she's not too familiar with people from other courses.

"Yes, Chu! Chaeng's friend, remember?" Seulgi answered with complete eagerness.

"Right, Chaeng! She's pretty. Eats a lot." And they both laughed at me.

"Wow, Kim! Coming from a person who can finish a whole chicken all by herself!"

"I told you I was on a diet that time!!!" Jisoo hit me with her notebook.

"I've been trying to tell Lisa to help me with Jennie since they're in the same class, but I guess, my feelings don't really matter to our so-called friend."

"Hey, hey. That's not true. It's just that Jennie and I are not really close. Besides, you both know each other. What else do I need to do?"

"Talk to her, build me up, buttercup! Tell her how great of a person I am." Seulgi kept insisting.

"Kang, you know I don't lie. " I was laughing until she started shaking me. "Fine! Whatever. No promises, Seulgi!"

We didn't notice Jisoo just got off from a call.

"Guys, my cousin's inviting us to the newly opened club here in the city."
"Ohhh. I have training tomorrow... but I'm down Chu!" I can already feel Seulgi's excitement.
"Then you'll go complaining about your hangover the next day" I said before I stood up and started packing my things.
"Manoban, you're coming with us. Let's go before it gets traffic."

"Uh-uh. Nope! I am not. Chu, I have an early class tomorrow. Besides, it's just Thursday, isn't clubbing supposed to happen on Fridays? what happened to TGIF?"

"Ha ha, funny. C'mon, I'm not even asking you. I'm telling you that you'll join us tonight. You already ignored last week's dinner!"

"Kim, I have a new vinyl to listen to. You, of all people, should know the feeling, right? Right? I carried my bag and gave her puppy eyes.

"Now I envy Lisa."

Haha my plan worked!

"Fine, but you have to join us next time! C'mon Kang, you drive!"

And we all left the gazebo right after.
