LISA's POV
"All I want for Christmas is yooooouuuu!"
I got woken up by people singing. The harmony would've been good if it wasn't too loud. I tried to slowly open my eyes, one after the other. Just in time for Jennie's and I's bestfriends to barge in the front door, both smiling widely at me. But their reaction changed instantly. The wide smiles turned to smirks as they entered the house. Walking quietly so as not to wake Jennie up. Speaking of Jennie... where is she? I looked to my right where I last remembered she fell asleep, but she wasn't there.
My mind drifted to my legs as I was already feeling numb. And there I saw her, curled up and tucked in the hoodie I gave her, sound asleep on my lap. I was surprised but I couldn't react. I looked at our friends again and it dawned on me why they were smirking and were now giggling to each other. But before we assume things... My hand was placed on top of the couch while the left one was on the arm rest.
Chaeng and Jisoo sat on the couch beside ours. Just looking at us and whispering to each other. I cleared my throat.
"What time is it?" My phone was in my pocket and I couldn't get it since... you know... I wouldn't dare to wake up this little kitten. She might be a tiger once she wakes up on the wrong side of the bed. I wouldn't know, but, just to be sure.
"10 past 5." Jisoo answered, yawning.
"Wow. you both know how to have fun huh?" I told them.
"We were supposed to leave at 2 but Max invited us for waffles and pancakes. Their chef was in the mood to make some for the staff before Christmas so we joined in, too." Answered Chaeng.
I only nodded. I still feel sleepy. But I wasn't fully done fixing the things I needed to bring to my parent's house. I needed to go back to my unit and pack it all up.
"You up for coffee Lis?" Chaeng asked.
"Uhm, sure. Might need to go home anyway. How about you, Chu?"
"I'll go with you. But can you drop me by the house later? You're going home tonight, right?" Jisoo responded.
"Sure." Was my only response. I tilted my head back and closed my eyes again. I wanted to get some sleep, too. I'd probably take a nap when I get back to my unit.
After a few minutes, Chaeng handed me a cup of coffee. I whispered thanks and immediately took a sip from it. Good thing I wasn't hungover. I would have been if Jennie and I finished the 4th bottle of wine.
"Seems like you and Jennie had fun as well." Rosie spoke up while placing the cup on the center table.
"I saw four bottles of wine at the sink, Lisa. Really? Four?!" She continued as she sat beside Jisoo.
"Don't blame me. Your best friend has a thing for popping corks on wine bottles. She wouldn't stop even when I told her I was tipsy already."
I felt a sudden movement and saw Jennie wiping her eyes. When she finally opened it up, I looked down at her, smiling.
"Top of the morning, Miss Kim."
Jennie chuckled and wiped her eyes again. She stretched both of her arms before sitting up and I can see how much she was trying to wake herself up.
"How long was I out?" How can her morning voice be so raspy and cute at the same time?
"Hmm 2, 3 hours?"
"No wonder I still f-"
Jisoo and Chaeng sipped both of their coffees loudly.
"Oh." Jennie finally opened her eyes and looked at their way.
