THIRD PERSON's POV

After three more gas stations, two coffee cups, and a three hour drive turned to five hours, they all got to Manoban's residence. As they entered the village, Jennie felt they were in a different universe. Lisa's house was filled with Christmas lights of blue and white, decorations of all sorts, and to top it all off, a Santa Claus with a big red bag on his shoulder, hanging on the roof near the chimney. And it was no different from the rest of their neighbors.

"God, I can barely feel my feet." Lisa exclaimed as soon as she went down after parking their cars in the garage. It was 11 pm after all.

"Lisa, it looks awesome here!" Rosé said as she glanced from one house to another.

"Wait 'till you wake up tomorrow! I bet you'll love it even more." Jisoo responded, helping Lisa with her boxes. Rosé and Jennie already got their suitcase and were waiting for the three to finish.

"Are you sure it's okay th-" Before Jennie could finish, Lisa's mother opened the front door. "Lalisa, Jiyong!" She called. And they all turned their heads to look at her. It was just in time as Lisa was about to enter with her boxes, when she noticed that the girls didn't move from their spot. She motioned for them to follow her.

"Mom, these are our friends I told you about, Jennie and Rosé."

"Good evening Mrs. Manoban." Both of the girls bowed to pay respect.

"Oh girls, I'm so sorry your flights got cancelled. By the way, call me Aunt Grace. That's what Lisa's and Jiyong's friends call me." Grace said in a very welcoming tone.

"It was nice of you to take us in." Rosé responded.

Soon, Lisa's Dad came to the door as well.

"Hey there Kiddos!" He greeted them.

"Uncle Luke! How have you been?" Jisoo greeted him back.

"All good, Jisoo! C'mon. Let's all get inside. Jiyong, let me help you with that." Mr. Manoban said as they all entered the receiving area. And it was even more decorated inside, Jennie noticed. From Christmas socks to garlands decorated all over the ceiling. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without a 6 foot Christmas tree with all the ornaments you can think of. Seeing all these, Jennie felt how warm the days ahead of them would be.

"Mom, do we still have dinner left? We're starving." Jiyong asked.

"Oh, of course. You can leave your suitcase here first, girls. Jiyong, will you lead them to the dining table, please? While I prepare the food. And Jisoo, you should eat here, too."

"Thought you wouldn't ask, Aunt Grace." Jisoo responded.

The dining table was just in reach from the receiving area but they all let Jiyong get there first. Lisa helped out her mom in the kitchen and went to arrange the plates. Her dad sat on the principal seat while the one on his left was for his wife and Lisa took the chair next to it. Before Jennie could pull out the chair and sit beside Lisa, Jisoo was surprisingly fast enough to take that place. So they left to sit on the opposite side, beside Jiyong.

A few minutes after, Lisa's mom brought out the salad plate, mashed potato, and a whole roasted chicken.

"Oh, is it Christmas already?!" Jisoo squealed.

"My wife did all this excitedly as soon as she learned you guys will be arriving with your friends." Luke said, proud of his wife's cooking.

They started eating and satisfied their hunger. Rosé kept saying how good it was. Jennie even asked how long Grace roasted the chicken since it was still juicy, and the latter promised to list the process and give it to her the morning after. Lisa's parents threw in questions about school and told stories on the preparation the village did for their Holiday celebration. Which, to the visitors' surprise, starts a month ahead.
